i really liked how they took no damage for most of the video, really giving the whole video a feeling of balance with everything evening out and being nullified, and a yin-yang style with everything monochrome. it also made the 2 times where damage was actually done especially jarring and noticeable and giving those moments weight.
The AI is pathetic in this game, so no. But I am really amazed by how perfect the positioning of the characters are during the transitions, I can't imagine the work that must have gone into just getting that right.
It's actually really impressive how even tho ZUN doesn't have the best art skills per-se, his character designs are still so iconic and genial, i mean, just look at Utsuho and how in-depth each part of her design references from mythology and the Chernobyl accident. Kudos to ZUN for creating such a legendary franchise.
((Some people here don't understand completely yet it seems, so I'll say the why of most things. In Practice Mode, once you stop doing spirit-consuming actions for less than a sec, it will fully regenerate (or by messing with options it will regenerate up to a set point). Also in Practice Mode, when you set up a weather, the timer will not decrease. In this case the weather was set to Typhoon. That's why the characters don't flinch when hit. Something that happens in, again, Practice Mode when the weather is Typhoon, is that when hit, the HP bar will instantly fill up, thus showing no damage taken, which is why the HP bar doesn't decrease. Also, this is UNL, not SWR, it has Cirno, Utsuho, Meiling, Sanae, and Suwako.))
The Weather is Blue Sky at most, because they can cancel skill with other skills (Example: Reimu 623B -> j.236B) and no, the characters weren't hit, when you dash, you "graze" every projectile (bad english?). Do you even play Soku?
NicolaSnake98 Huh, I dunno why I thought they were getting hit when they were clearly grazing everything :L Yes, I do play Soku. Not noticing something is not the same as not playing something -__-
I really like this video because that's why I started to get interested in touhou, and it made me research more about this wonderful game and nowadays I know almost everything about this game and the stories of each character
so this is basically the fusion of all of the touhou fighting games with a black background, uncolored health bar/character thingy, and all white characters (and vice versa when inverted)? cool!
It seems like most people don't understand this game. Note that, in real games, matches tend to have a lot of use of the melee button. Also sadly, your friends forget that in SF, projectiles and using them for spacing are a key part of the game, and this game just magnifies that part of the game and minimizes melee zoning (though melee zoning is still a meaningful part of the game).
How do you change the background image and the color of the skill card? I extract cv2 files from the dat file and convert them into jpg file, but I have no idea how to convert jpg to cv2. And I don't know how to import the cv2 into dat, neither.
the length of the combo's yes, the spirit gauge won't hold up, but the combos themselves are completely possible, I know, I've been on the receiving end PLENTY of times! Damn patchy...
