It's always good, and refreshing to see Takefu Commercial H.S., back in "the groove".....and now with 'friends'. For sure you can't sit still while this group is performing.....new faces yes.....but always there to do their best and most important, entertain and have fun. Good to have you back with full instrumentation and great kids. Arigatou...
Thank you MIKAN for another great video. One of my favourite bands, always make me smile, great job by all of the kids and their brilliant band leader Ueda-sensei.
Every time I see that gentleman at the start of one of his RU-vid presentations, I know I'm going to have some fun and that I will be replaying the link several times. In this case it was a joy to watch how the two young people's bands got together and played extremely well. It was obvious that they all really enjoyed the party atmosphere and I hopefully look forward to many future band parties like this one and I thank each and every one of them and the other band manager as well. Thank You
When you see this band performing you can not sit still. And making music together is also great fun. Great to see the two band together. Thanks for filming and uploading, Mikan!.
It was really wonderful to see the other band join the party that was very cool. This was such a special video, thank you so much for sharing the love.
I apologise I have already made a comment about this band but when you keep returning to enjoy time and time again the enthusiasm energy and fun these guys are having it is simply outstanding entertainment and an absolute pleasure to watch.
What an energetic, really fun homage to 60's rock and at the end, reviving Ray Charles wonderful street dancing scene from the Blues Brothers - go watch that scene on youtube and you will appreciate this program even more. Like Vonk, I like the 2 band combination. No, not everything is perfect, but what fun! I love hearing the Japanese kids sing "Shake it, shake it, shake it baby!' in English. This show is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I have no doubt that Ray Charles beams down from heaven at this show with complete admiration and joy. Though not in heaven- so do I ! By the way - since I have no Japanese - who are they? Mikan, thanks again!
Lance, the band you are looking for are 'Takefu Commercial' for best results when searching copy and paste this into your search 武生商業高校 Alternatively I've got a playlist of everything I've found on RU-vid here ru-vid.com/group/PLrt0xS7Ka78RrieDPIJU20I_Ayufdp7cu There's a couple of hundred videos in there so enough to keep you busy for a while...
What a fun loving performance by the bands. You could see they were having a brilliant time. Full marks to the conductor for such fun and encouragement to the bands. 110% From Dublin Ireland
wow. I felt badly for this band last year when this man ate up the first half of their concert with his own personal band then dominated the rest of the concert using the kids as a backing band. I'm saddened that he is still in charge and still making himself the center of attention
I think you are referring to his retirement concert. Yes how selfish making yourself the centre of attention at your own retirement party. Not to mention his selfishness at continuing to work part time past retirement age with the band to ensure they could continue performing.
This high school concert often collaborates with other bands and it happened to be their conductor's band last year. I think the students are enjoying their time with him. Otherwise, no students will come to him, and I don't think his influence will spread to other high schools like this video.
@@gundam1gouki No Im not talking about another school band. He actually brought his 5 piece rock band that he fronts for as his second gig, all the members around his age, set them front and center and had the school band backing them up. First thing I was told by every Principal I worked for "It's about the kids" Also, Im not sure how much kids have a say in who the school district hires as director. So I don't know about kids "going to him" or if it just depends on the school they attend. Kids may well be bedazzled a bit by having such a showy director, but you can see it in this vid, kids are unsure about their spots and there are more than a few musical miscues, and that's with very basic arrangements and as much singing as playing. That singing almost acts as a filler, makes me wonder just how much music they are getting to learn. If the kids are happy that's fine but I think they are being short shifted.
