青い海に囲まれている島、沖縄。ここに暮らす人の必需品は、一家に一台はあると言われている「車」だ。都市部に比べ車文化が栄えている沖縄では、かつては頻繁に路上でレースが繰り広げられていた。一時は米軍基地内の飛行場をレーストラックとして使用させてもらうという案もあったが、911以降、安全上の理由で実現不可能になってしまった。
走れる場所が限られている沖縄で、今もなお深夜にレースを繰り広げる沖縄のレーサーたちを追った。
