Thanks for the long awaited Ollie tutorial! 2 questions. 1 - My back foot often separates from the board. How can I get it to stick to the board better? 2 - To get my front foot to grip better I try to build up pressure on my back foot and initiate the pop by lifting my front foot. This way I don't really need to coordinate both feet. The front foot acts as a trigger that automatically make the back foot pop. Just wondering if this will result in bad technique?
1. comes with timing of the front foot's drag. there's a video from US skateboard Education Association that goes through this in detail. 2. shouldn't pop by lifting the front, this makes it sound like you aren't really jumping. pop should be from the ankle's strength.
