The reason why they put teen pandas back to the wild, at around 2-3 years old, is that pandas at this age have strong curiosity and desire to explore the nature and space. Once their get older, their knowledge of nature and space will be solidified, which means they will probably never get the chance or ability to survive in the wild. I've learned that from a new documentary called "Back to the forest", about the story pf Hua Jiao the second female panda released back to the forest.

I thought all Panda need back where they have zoo nanny keeper, and make larger environment for them, so they don’t have to risk their life like I read the comments some Panda got sick and some fell off from cliff when release them back in wild. That’s is what my concern about them. I also read about Africa white rhino about last male that mean Africa government must serious work force to prevent all hunters. No hunt allowed to any animals.

Tao Tao was finally released in 2012. From the newspaper, Tal Tao is around seven years old now and get used to the wild environment, for he is able to have his own territory. If Tao tao keeps safe and strong this year, he will be able to reproduce with other wild female panda in National Nature Reserve.

Pas forcément un panda sauvage... Plutôt le fils des pandas sauvages élévé dans un environnement naturel mais quand même un peu contrôlé (avec des caméras et des radios avec lesquels on joue la rugissement des predateurs). Si je me souviens bien, la mère de ce panda avait vécu dans la forêt avant d'arriver à la centre de recherches des pandas.
