Up close, the black-and-white ursid reveals himself as never before, in his most complete intimacy.
The images we shot were taken in a large panda sanctuary in the heart of the remote mountains of central China: from a rehabilitation area to the wild, to areas with no human presence at all. Thanks to these different filming locations and a daily presence in the field, we were able to capture some absolutely stunning images: the birth of baby pandas, males fighting to reproduce or mothers teaching their offspring to climb trees. The exceptional length of the shoots enabled us to film behaviors never before observed.
Two films, each season, to discover the impassive and mysterious giant panda, at the heart of its natural environment. Filmed over a period of 4 years, the series takes us into the daily lives of 3 panda families. We follow the lives of these wild animals from birth to adulthood.
