As a Shandong specialty, Paper-skin Buns originated from the Gaojia Village, Mingji Town, Zouping County. It has been inherited by the Gao family from generation to generation. Now the food is over 300 years old. It appeared on the Qiansou Feast, the largest-scale imperial feast outside the palace in Qing Dynasty. As its name indicates, Paper-skin Buns have clear and thin skin. Colorful and rich stuffing fills up the wrappers. The time-honored food is alluring and satisfying.
