Dear Miyako, could you please upload something recent for your UK fans. I am coming to see you in London in June, I am traveling a long way to see Lovebites for the first time. It is such a small venue, I hope that you are all going to meet some fans before, or after the show.

ACDC: "It's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll". It's easy to think that Lovebites is rolling in money because of the videos and the albums. You have to step back and look at the last couple of years. COVID, Miho and hiatus. The truth is that Lovebites has only a few tour dates in 2023 and only in Japan. Look at the venue size - are they selling out 20k venues? The truth of the matter is that Miyako is a blue collar worker. She is out selling her merch, her youtube channel, her awesome piano skills, and doing the lovebites gig. Therefore, she is not rolling in millions of dollars. She is an everyday person trying to make ends meet (while awesomely shredding)

That guitar sold for slightly under $10 grand. Maybe Miyako earns about $200,000 in a touring year, maybe. Likely that number is closer to $90,000.

@@theodorereph8971 Yeah, wages are much lower in Japan and thus ticket prices, etc., are lower. Competition for audiences is massive in Japan. The slick DVDs of "one-man" shows seem like huge halls with massive crowds. Most times, these bands are playing to fractions of those audiences. That is why when Jappo bands, especially all-girls bands come to the West, the seem to be right at home playing in clubs that hold less than 500 patrons. That is why it was a big deal when Loudness and Anthem played big shows in the USA in the 1980s. That is why too, that Lovebites lucked out to play Wacken a few years back early in their career. It sure beats going to an office job and making oneself look busy, a common practice in Japan, but most active bands with CDs and music videos likely earn in total way less than $50-60,000 a year.

UFO was amazing live with Point Blank. My cousin managed ZZ Top and Point Blank, we had a great time. Johnny Winter loved the Flying V, but I don't remember Rocky Hill using one. Half the people who learned guitar in the 80s and 90s bought the Dean Vs or BC Rich to look cooler on videos and TV

@@wrixvictoryii5778 one of my first concerts was UFO opening for Blue Oyster Cult. At the break we were discussing how BOC could surpass UFO. They did, lol.

Gibson should definitely give that to her for free. Especially for a band like Lovebites - the middle aged male fans, many of who are single, is EXACTLY the demographic who'd splurge on a Gibson guitar in the first place. Why is our girl financing like she's about to be drivin around in a Lambo?!

Guys, she wasn't dealing with Gibson. G-club is a guitar store in Japan. They wouldn't benefit from giving Miyako a free guitar no matter how famous Miyako is. And unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Gibson had no idea who Miyako is. Heavy metal is still not mainstream in Japan yet (at least, according to Midori) and Japanese heavy metal isn't exactly super popular on a global basis. Japanese heavy metal by females even less so. We still have a long way to go before Miyako and for that matter, Lovebites, get the recognition they deserve.

@TheCyberMantis you're preaching to the choir, friend. I'm just laying out the reality of the situation. No one thinks she - and all the others- deserve everything they want more than I do.
