@@angelahoo6453 Wow,That is so expensive! My husband still has Medical Insurance after he retired. So we do not need to worry about this. For those who do not have insurance, this is very important, and they should think about it seriously! Thank you!🙏
if you plot the different retirement schedules against collection time, you will get a good visual view on how different they are and when one will catch up with the other, as so on. It will be more interesting if we put all the collected SS into the stock market, with an assumed average return of 4%, which will make the early retirement even more attractive. In addition, please note that IRA will add small percentage each year to collectable SS to make up the effects of past inflation, which I believe you did not take into account. Great program.
@@jinlsui Thank you so much for your words! You are absolutely right. We can invest those SS into VOO or QQQ! By the way, I added 2.6% yearly according to the average adjustment for last 20 years!
I think COLA is also applied to your benefit, even if you wait until 67 or 70. So, if you calculate the monthly benefit at 62 to be 70% of $1,000, then if you wait until you are 67, your first month's benefit will not be $1,000; it will be $1,000 * 1.026^5, which is about $1,137.
@@tlian2001 I am not sure about this.Sorry.There is another friend who thinks so too. but I think the first check you get from SSA is related to the taxes you have paid.right?Even you are not retired, COLA is still applied to you? Thanks for your words!❤️
