It was two hours after Yuzuru Hanyu 羽生結弦 announced his retirement or better said his conversion to pro-athlète. In this interwiew with english subtitles , Yuzuru Hanyu opens his heart and confesses everything he kept to himself during his competitive career. Yuzuru also speaks about his quad axel attempt in Beijing, how he sees his future as professional skater and how the support of his ever-growing fans (fanyus) helped him not give up.

It has not always been easy for me to find colors that stand out against backgrounds with very contrasting colors, I hope you can read everything. Yuzuru never complained while he was active as an amateur, but it's very hard what he had to endure...

I am not an expert in figure skating but I also somehow felt that Hanyu-san has been underscored in his performances, especially in his last competing seasons. I cannot tell if this was deliberately done or his peformances could not have been grasped properly by judges Perhaps he was above imagination. Therefore, now being free as a professional he may fly as high as he wants by using his reach imagination in creating Hanyu-san's special and original figure skating style tending more to art performance and telling the stories including the profound emotions he is capable of, everything based of course on his stunning technical skating skills. After all he has proven all that in his so successful solo ice shows of extreme lenght in comparisson to the competing SP-s and FS-s. May he be blessed with health, stamina and success for he deserves due to his yearlong hard work nothing less than that.
