This video shows how the North and South Coasts of Cornwall are very different! The North Coast generally has a higher number of visitors with families and singles visiting from all over the UK and further afield. The North Coast also has many top locations and resorts including St Ives, Perranporth, Newquay, Padstow, Port Isaac, and Bude, but for the purposes of this video, I have chosen to show you Perranporth during the busiest holiday season month - August.
During school holidays, the beach gets very busy and it is a very popular resort for families. Besides the long beach, which is suitable for walking, sunbathing, and surfing, there are lots of facilities within the town itself. These include numerous cafes, takeaways, restaurants, pubs, bars, shops, nearby caravan and camping parks, hotels, and generally speaking, Perranporth has an enjoyable and pleasant holiday vibe in the summer months. It is very popular believe me!
Compared to the North Coast, the South Coast can be a little quieter. Whether it is Falmouth, or any of the small coves on the Lizard Peninsula, or stretching down to Praa Sands, Marazion or Penzance, tourists who come here may prefer the quieter life and the beautiful cornish countryside, or they may have family in the area or have been before.
For my example of a South Coast holiday resort / village in this video, I have chosen Coverack. I have also chosen The Roskilly's Ice Cream Farm tourist attraction situated just outside St. Keverne, approximately 5 minutes drive away by car from Coverack.
