Great video and thank you for sharing this knowledge. The system sounds like it might be very sensitive to outside magnetic field because the glide wheel speed is control by electro-magnetic field from coil. Do you know if the watch case need to provide protection from outside magnetic field?
Yes, Seiko call it an "electromagnetic brake applied to the gilde wheel". However, i did not see any alteration needed in the watch cases. I guess the electromagnetic force is quite strong in order to slow the gilde wheel down.
Chris, give you a like to contribute this knowledge to HK watch community! This is acutally not an innovation but an evolution in watching making history. HK watch community need a youtuber talking watches like you, not solely keep on talking watches that increase in price weekly if not daily. They are not talking about watch actually, just focus on product with main interest in speculation on finanical gains!
