We're going to need Konami to step up and put an anthology series into motion. It's a crime to have shown all this animation without giving us a new show 😭
Six Samurai story is not that interesting, in fact it's a little confusing and not particularly novel with its concepts. It would be cool to see such a classic deck animated in all its infinite summoning glory, with just a few samurai seeming like an entire army, but the lore of other archetypes has more substance in terms of something non-players would enjoy watching.
@@drewbabe someone that looks into the real history or actually knows the card lore would say otherwise. just goes to show you don't know the entire story.
I shed a tear. Thank you Mr.Takahashi for this little part of my childhood that continues to grow even after your tragic passing. There may be ups and downs, especially in this economy but YGO will always be a cornerstone of my life
I think I heard they are making one. Probably that last bit two girl fighting (Don't know the name. I gave up playing this game but still catching up time to time)
Hard to believe it's been 25 years, I remember playing this years ago, quit near the end of the 5D's era. Seen some pretty cool artwork since but haven't really kept up with it. Good times.
One thing I really like about this animation is that it really brings the cards to life and makes them feel a lot like actual characters. Seeing Zeus and Ty-Phon clash in that gundam-esque fight was amazing, the live twins going gremlins to full on anime characters is basically right out of panty and stocking, and trishula’s awakening is awesome. It’s great to see the lore from these cards be brought to life via such amazing animation that it somewhat makes you forget that they’re trading cards, and makes them feel like actual characters from a show.
Some of the cards can also connect each other either same time line or not like after many generations later etc it such a waste why they haven't try make an anime based around there cards it already written everything. All they do is make an anime already I be happy to watch it more then watching an actual card game anime
Honestly I can see the anime taking all the cards and putting them in one shared world over the course of several thousand years. There could even be some crossover between archetypes. Like Magikey might relate back to World Chalice, an arc where AA Zeus has to fight the Drytrons and Urasics, or a filler episode where Fallen Of Albaz has to deal with the Melffys causing some trouble.
0:00 DM panering kek 0:45 Maiden with Eyes of Blue summoning Azure Eyes Silver Dragon 1:01 Spirit Charmers using their buddy's abilities 1:15 Duel Terminal lore, Trishula unsealed 1:31 Melffy, the Melffy gathering for a feast like in Melffy of the Forest 1:46 AA-Zeus vs TY-PHON Sky Crisis 2:24 Legendary Six Samurai battling each other 2:59 Live☆Twin getting a commision, then Evil★Twin doing the crime 3:29 Abyss lore, Albaz and Ecclesia first meeting 4:15 Exodia summon 4:19 Visas Samsara reaching out his hand, likely towards Reichheart like in Ages of Stars and Frost. 4:23 Fire King vs Atlanteans 4:26 Diabellestar sleeping 4:29 Dragon Rulers 4 way battle 4:33 Magistus lore, Crowley, Endymion and Rilliona vs Zoroa 4:36 Solfacord playing Passionate Duelist 5:31 Sky Striker, Raye vs Roze
@@FlashKumimaX world legacy is impossible, because the story is too copied from xenoblade chronicles and is too obvious and would cause problems with nintendo
I always had fascination for the D.D (Different Dimension) cards. How they got sent to the different dimension, the mysteries there, the dangerous unknown treats, how they got out. Also the beautiful design of the cards. Hope they animate them as well.
Man, this is really incredibly cool. Obviously, was made to mostly show off the different animation styles the studio could pull off, but the end product is insane
Lets hope they actually consider making this a full blown anime. That would draw in so many more people to the game, don't sleep on your hidden potential Konami!
Tbh I won’t mind seeing cars stories retold and animated more to be flushed out I am looking at if they can do the little kind like the struggle of the greedy goblin and how he was tricked by the pot of greed
I heard about this and finally I watch it. It's as awesome as everybody say. Thanks Konami, now you know that we all really enjoy and appreciate content like this
This is the most excited I’ve been about a animation about yugioh since I was a kid. I sincerely hope we can see more of this in the future because man it would be such a shame to have this beautiful of animation not used more
@@gijane2cantwaittoseeyou203 1. you don‘t know, takahashi was a great guy 2. nobody cares man, just enjoy this shit 3. takahashi didnt want anime girls? My guy you blind af
Six samurai my favorite deck I was moved to see the six samurai animated, there could have been a complete animation but the runners up there already made me very happy and even brought tears to my eyes. 7 years without support for the Six Samurai, I hope you don't forget about them!
Im with you. Thats why atm im playing Mikanko. But the moment. THE MOMENT they give anybody a new Six Sam revamp, dropping the deck to go back to em. It broke my heart seeing that without Isolde, the deck cant bridge into combo and honestly it needs a 2024 or modern era face lift. It competed once. It CAN compete again
Konami! This is what we would like to see in series. Where it's about different topics. As individual stories or overarching. Maybe different worlds. That's what I would like to see as a series, it would make you want to play the card game that we all love so much.
why when he was the reason for yugioh not going anywhere, getting anything, not evolving at all? He is the blue balls of yugioh, can't even get card sleeves without yugioh name on it.
This will 1000% bring in new players and make existing players so happy if they went all out on an animation series. It would be nice to relate to the cards we play
Like the other guy said, it's gonna attract new and returning players, sure, but with how it isn't beginner and boomer friendly is currently, they're not gonna stay for long. I for one (boomer) just play Master Duel purely in Solo mode.
1. 1:45 Mellfy into Zeus is such a nice reference! I also appreciate that the animation is literally Zeus vs Typhon 2. Friendly reminder that , while not exactly test footage, this is basically Konami's new animation studio showing off what they can do and testing the waters for if people are down with more ,and larger in scale, projects down the line
Mellfy scene was so adorable I can’t order any of monsters to attack them 😅 Zesus was like a Winged Zero firing in two directions. Being chased by moving beams had Gundam 00 vibes
0:45 I really like the reference to dragon shrine when maiden walks, feels like a reference to the Blue-Eyes strategy since we always use dragon shrine.
It looks incredible, I would like them to release another animation like this but with the fallen lore of Albaz, this style of animation is fascinating, I give it a 10/10
Yu-Gi-Oh lore anime series when!!!! Seriously this game has some of the best lore I've ever seen and they do it through just pictures on cards and sometimes descriptions are effects. It would be so incredible to see a high quality animation. I promise it would get every single one of my old high school friends back into Yu-Gi-Oh who are teetering on the brink. You give us such a hard game to pick up when all you've known is goat format. But having an anime like this for all the nerds out there who don't understand the game would literally be the tipping point.
@@MetaKnight964 yup, there are cards that have description of their own, especially non-effect monster cards, since they have no effect so the textbox of the cards are replace by some lore or description of their own. Or even effect monster like pendulum monster some cards have description in their text box too, like not both its pendulum box, and effect box have its effect, but only 1 box have the card's effect, the other have the description like the non-effect monster. Also, i think the term "descriptions are effects" he mean like describe how strong a monster card in it lore ? I think
I was tearing up at how beautiful these sequences were and loved seeing shots from cards being directly referenced throughout! And I appreciated the 25th anniversary nods/signatures (like the YGO25MD at the beginning of the Divine Arsenal AA Zeus segment). I would love to see even more archetypes animated or to have an anime with the lore of archetypes fleshed out in this style! Your team did an incredible job making this and the details are absolutely impeccable. Even a multi-part RU-vid series of these for the 25th anniversary featuring other archetypes with transitions like this one would be a dream come true. Please continue making more content like this or even spin-offs to showcase your beautiful animation!
Considering how wildly Yu-Gi-Oh cards vary in tone, konami could basically make an anime of every genre. Albaz is your standard shounen, six samurai as historical fiction, vendread as dark fantasy, I could go on.
Literally, mecha with zeus, zombie apocalpse with like a broken/cursed call of the haunted going wild, superheroes with E-heroes vs darkworld, gods arch with solemn and archfiend, waring kingdoms of, sea air and skynwith like alteians, naturia beasts and harpies. Literally infinite potential and would also be great showcase of lesser known archetypes. These literally over 300 of them.
Please make this a real animated series show with the characters playing out their lore on screen! The artwork for this video was amazing! The lore for the cards has always been amazing and under represented! This would be loved by everyone! Please!!!
Albaz lore anime would be so awesome, hopefully this goes somewhere. Every duelist would watch these anime, and could even be a good thing for getting new players into the game. Konami should look into a slew of anime, maybe release a short series or an ova before the cards are released to bring hype to new sets.
Man, what I would give for the E-HEROs (or any other kind of HERO, really) to be animated like this. They could easily go against any of the more goofy-looking villain archetypes as well.
