국립중앙박물관과 소속 국립박물관 그리고 지방자치단체가 힘을 합쳐 만든 〈국보순회전: 모두의 곁으로〉가 6월부터 전국의 공립박물관미술관 12곳에서 개최됩니다. 청동기시대의 모습을 담은 농경문청동기, 신라 무덤에서 나온 화려한 금관과 기마인물형토기, 아름다운 고려 상감청자, 담백한 멋을 지닌 조선 달항아리 등교과서에 실린 친숙한 명품으로 꾸민, 작지만 알찬 전시들입니다. 〈국보순회전: 모두의 곁으로〉는 새로운 형식의 문화행사이기도 합니다.귀중한 문화유산과 함께 교육과 공연이 어우러져 볼거리와 즐길거리를 제공합니다. 모쪼록 이 전시를 계기로 우리 문화를 편안히 접하면서 그 속에 깃든 역사적 가치를 발견하고 아름다움을 향유하시기를 바랍니다. 국립중앙박물관은 앞으로도 지역의 박물관들과 협력하여 더 좋은 전시를 선보일 것을 약속드립니다. 이번 순회전시는 그 첫걸음인 셈입니다. 소중한 문화유산과의 만남이 여러분의 삶을 풍요롭게 하는 특별한 계기가 되기를 바랍니다.
Jointly organized by the National Museum of Korea, its regional national museums, and participating local governments, Tour of National Treasures: Museum for You will be held at twelve public museums and art galleries throughout the nation, starting in June. These small but bountiful exhibitions will bring local residents face to face with iconic masterpieces that they likely recognize from media and textbooks, such as a bronzeware with agricultural designs from the Bronze Age, a splendid gold crown and a horse-and-rider-shaped vessel from Silla tombs, beautiful Goryeo inlaid celadon, and a simple yet elegant Joseon moon jar. Representing a new type of cultural event, Tour of National Treasures: Museum for You combines precious artworks and antiquities with education and performance, offering a wealth of diverse experiences for everyone to see and enjoy. We hope that these exhibitions will enable people throughout Korea to encounter our national culture in comfort and convenience, giving them a deeper appreciation of the beauty and historical value of our rich cultural heritage. This touring exhibition marks the first step in the National Museum of Korea’s new commitment to presenting outstanding exhibitions in collaboration with local museums.
