ACCCCCCCCKK! My heart surely goes to this episode! What an honest conversation from the both of them. I love that Hae-in admitted that she doesn't want to be alone ever, but can I just pinpoint how good of a person Hyun-woo is for saying sorry despite living miserably? I don't want this couple to break apart. The more I get attached to seeing them like this, the more I am afraid of Hae-in finding out about the divorce.

If we analyze the drama in its entirety it is impossible not to notice what the underlying theme is, at least one of the main ones and this episode highlighted it well. I'm referring to the lack of communication which is what comes into plain sight here now: although it is not revealed to us what the cause was that led to the loss of their child during pregnancy, but I don't think it matters that much in the end, let's see how this tragedy struck the two spouses who, until that moment, were in love with each other; Hae-in decides, coldly (at least that's how it appears in Hyun-woo's eyes), to get rid of everything in the room that would become the nursery for their son, leaving Hyun-woo stunned, especially when he sees that she is more worried about the work than the loss of the baby: this is where it all started! Hyun-woo, seeing how Hae-in behaved in that circumstance, actually erased (actually put to sleep) all the feelings he had for her, as if he had suddenly found himself married to another person who is as cold as ice, while Hyun-woo is completely devastated and just cries about it. Of course, out of sight, we see that in reality Hae-in suffers as much as he does because of this, but she herself has decided that this thing must be some kind of punishment (probably always in connection with the death of her brother, for which her mother blames her ) and therefore has no right to be sad about it, entrenching himself in this mask of coldness. If only the two spouses had communicated with each other this whole situation they found themselves in would not have happened, a situation in which Hyun-woo hated every day of his life to have ended up in that family and with that detached wife. In short, the lack of communication is the real villain of this drama and we also see it in the other scenes, when Hyun-woo decides to avoid the awakening of the feelings of love he feels for Hae-in, running away like an idiot from his old, slightly before kissing her and confessing those things to his brother, unaware that Hae-in was listening, bringing the situation almost back to square one. As in the best dramas, the push and pull between the two lovers, however frustrating, is actually what makes us passionate, because we who watch also struggle together with the protagonists, as if it were a multi-sensory experience. However, at least this episode, leaves us with the best omens in the final act, in which, in the end, Hyun-woo comes to terms that his feelings for her are real and are stronger than the two years of sadness and resentment he has had after the loss of the child, deciding to join Hae-in in Germany and talk, perhaps for the first time in two years, with an open heart about how he felt and how he wants to be by her side before kissing her and sealing the newfound love. In this regard: this drama is decidedly stingy with kisses, but when there are kisses they are quality, like this intense one on the stairs. However, things are moving not only between the two spouses, but also between their families, in particular with Seon-hwa, Hae-in's mother, who, seeing the video of when Hae-in visited her in-laws and seeing how happy he was there, she felt resentful, which she then expressed to her later, when he pointed out that she never ate with a smile while at home; it is clear that although Seon-hwa has introjected this resentment she feels towards Hae-in due to the loss of Su-wan, she loves her daughter and seeing her happy with others and not with her causes her irritation and pain. Little by little the feelings are all emerging. Beom-ja, Hae-in's aunt, is certainly one of the best characters, as well as the most chaotic, also because she is the only one who smells burning towards Seul-hee, who with her manipulations is deceiving Man-dae for years and years. Which is the same stink Hyun-woo feels towards Eun-sung and for good reason. However, I find it curious that Hyun-woo is respected by Hae-in's family as a professional who protects their interests, rather than as a family member. Without a doubt, the Hong family puts business above all else and therefore calculates each member's value based on what they bring to the family business. Little curiosities: yes, as you saw for yourself, Kim Young-min returned to this drama after being one of the secondary characters in Crash Landing on You, which we remember, both dramas were written by screenwriter Park Ji-eun. In this regard, when Soo-cheol shows her mother the footage of Hae-in from her in-laws, she was actually watching an episode of Crash Landing on You (a self-referential, funny Easter egg). The doctor in charge of the clinic where Hae-in hopes to be treated in Germany is the French-American actor Sebastian Roché who, during his long film and television career, has taken part in many of the most important American serials with of weight, such as Fringe, 24, Alias, CSI Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, Supernatural etc... Thanks for the reaction and for showing us your life line on your hand 🤭.

Haha! The first thing that I read is the thanks for showing my hand's lifeline haha but I can't even see mine. Anyway, regarding this episode, I agree that communication is what lacks for this couple. But to be really honest, I think it's really hard for them to bring up anything specially to Hae-in who has been blaming herself starting her brother's death. The last minute of this episode gave me the reason to watch the next episode as it gave me hope that things will for sure get better... but not that fast haha. And yes, there were known actors here who made cameo and I think not just Crash Landing but also those actors from Vincenzo. I have heard that the doctor is famous too, but I think this is the first time I have seen him. Thanks for the comment!
