Jay Park is American, Korean American that's why his English is so clean. He was born in Edmonds, Washington raised in Seattle. Just to give you guys a little taste of what he got he's the CEO of AOMG and H1GHR Music, under Roc Nation and a part of Art of Movement (B-Boy group) 😏👌

Yes you are right Jay Park is Korean-American, but he is not from New York or LA, he is from Washington state. :D He started out when he was a teenager as the leader of the Kpop boy group 2PM under JYP Entertainment, the same company as GOT7 and Twice, etc. Due to some controversy he left the group in 2009/2010 and went back home to Washington, but he was so popular in Korea that fans demanded he come back and continue making music. So in 2011 he came back to Korea and signed with a small company and became a solo hip-hop artist. But being under a Korean company still didn't allow him to truly make the music he wanted to make so in 2013 Jay Park became the founder and CEO of his own Korean record label named AOMG. The Label is named after the Seattle-based B-Boy group, Jay Park was a member of called "Art of Mpvement." Last year Jay also started an international record label called H1GHR music and he was most recently signed to Jay-Zs record label Roc Nation as he makes his way into the American Music Industry. Jay has wrote and produced music for a lot of other hip-hop artists and not only is he an awesome rapper, but he is an amazing dancer and vocalist as well Jay's style is very western influenced and he prefers to produce songs in English, but he will always have that Korean influence and he has many K-hip-hop songs which are amazing as well. Jay Park is now 31 years old, but a couple of years ago he was named by Forbes Magazine Korea as one of the top celebrities 30 under 30 to watch and he is one of the most successful solo artists in the industry, he is worth millions now. In the rap you just watched he said "I am Aqua Man" which refers to his album and song called "Aqua Man." You should check out the MV for that song. There are so many songs and MVs of Jay's solo work or collaborations you should check out. I recommend checking out his solo songs and MVs "Me Like Yuh" and "Yacht" also.

He himself is also signed with Roc Nation. He is a singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer (started out as a B-boy) and record producer. He also is co-owner (CEO) of AOMG record label as well as H1GHER global record label. He was born in Seattle Washington. Then went to Korea where he struggled to learn Korean better since for him it's a second language and became the leader and main singer of hugely successful boy band 2pm but didn't like all the restrictions and suppression spoke up about it and ultimately left to become independent and free to do what he wanted to do.

The journey wasn't easy since he was looked as an outsider in Korea (couldn't even speak the language properly) and the fact that a lot of Korean-Americans think they're better/cooler than Koreans. But overtime in his stay in Korea, Jay Park learned that he's KOREAN and he's so proud to be KOREAN. Basically Jay Park is FOR his own culture/country now. Now that he's back in America, he realizes that he has a lot of people on his shoulders to represent. "Born in this country but I'm feelin like an immigrant" -> that's a shot at his American upbringing experience, you could tell that he was seen as "Asian" before "American". - BTW Soju is a Korean alcohol drink, you can take shots with it or mix it with beer if you're not into the taste of alcohol.
