Reminds me of the time when Jin was getting foreign spotlight (being the cover/thumbnail of American media) and some "fans" decided he was getting too much recognition than the other members. While taehyung is extrovert, Jin actually is introvert, so making first move to get closer to other people, communicating with many people, will be consuming energy for him...i really praised his effort.

I was really like Jin before, I didn’t have much confidence, shy, timid and much of an introvert, now I kind went with the Ambivert side and when I watched BTS I was totally amazed with Jin because he truly grew a lot of confidence and you can see how his personality is, it’s truly so warm and kind. He is my ultimate bias and I can really relate with Jin a lot...❤️☺️✨

Maye Jin said himself that BigHit restricted his personality, because they wanted him to have a cool, princely image. It was only until around 2016, they let him do whatever he wanted. However, this does not mean that what we saw of Jin until that was “unreal”. I truly believe that Jin is an introvert, who can be social and outgoing. This means that while he can be quiet (and happy with that), he can also be loud and silly (and be happy with that). Also, I feel like if you paid enough attention to Jin, you would see that he has always had the same “core” personality traits. He’s very easygoing and carefree, as you can see by the fact that despite being the oldest he never enforces the hierarchy. Jin said himself that “pride is a useless thing”, and was the one to apologize first after his fight with V (uncommon, since Jin is the oldest). Also, for example, I remember when he was asked if he would remember the memories he made traveling abroad, and Jin said “that he probably wouldn’t, once he gets back in routine.” This makes it clear to me that Jin is a person who lives in the moment. He’s also very straightforward and honest. While someone like Jimin might be wary with his words, Jin always says thing as he thinks they are (this might come off sometimes as blunt). Jin can also be “childish”. The other members said, and this was many years ago on some bus, that Jin collected Mario figurines and that he wast the most childish. Jin is, after all, the youngest in his own family. Jin is very independent and has a strong sense of “self”. If you’ve watched some of BV and AHL, you’ll noticed that Jin is very comfortable doing his own thing. I remember that Jimin didn’t want to travel the city alone, but Jin was happy traveling and exploring on his own. He even said he liked observing the city himself. Furthermore, he has a very strong sense of “self”. This is more difficult to describe, but Jin always gives me the impression that he knows who he is, what his morals and values are. He has a strong identity. He does things on his own and acts like he wants to. At the same time, Jin definitely is very private. He has said himself that he doesn’t like to show his “weak” side to anyone, but that he like everyone else, does get “sad” and “insecure”. This is clearly evidenced by his song Awake, but also that time he cut his hair in an “ugly way” because when he grew out, he could feel confident again. And this is something I think is very important about Jin, when he feels insecure, tried or sad, he tried to make himself feel better. He has said himself, that he often does things, so he can feel confident and happy again. He also does them, he says, because he wants to make other people happy as well. Jin said to RM once (paraphrasing) that he shouldn’t think too much, and try to be positive, and then he will be happier. To make it short, Jin does not like to share his worries with other people, because he wants himself to be happy, but other people as well. He wants to have a positive outlook on life, for himself and others. This is why we have NEVER heard Jin complain even once, about not having many lines, not being able to act professionally etc. I also think another “hidden” side to Jin is that he’s actually very thoughtful “smart”, and responsible. Remember, that Jin took his Master’s degree while in BTS, and had to at the same time, work extremely hard on his dancing and singing. I also think I remember reading that Jin’s grades were good. But he‘s not only school smart: he’s quick on his feet, and can be very witty. On V live when they had to figure out who the mole was Jin was the only one who figured it out; when they played the mafia game, Jin was also the only one to figure out who it was; also when they had to get out of the room trough thinking and solving puzzles, Jin basically solved the whole thing himself (like honestly, I think people underestimate how incredibly smart and quick Jin is, because he acts goofy all the time). I also think that since Jin became an idol later, he has more life experience and practical skills than some of the other members (especially Jungkook). Jin is very responsible. He’s the one who drove Jungkook to school everyday, made food for the members and took care of them. Jin is secretive and “hard-to-figure-out”. Jin being secretive is loosely connected to him being private, but I really wanted this to be its own point. Since Jin almost never shows us his true insecurities and problems, a lot of things needs to be based on what we can see and context. For example, it’s obvious to me, that Jin sometimes feels insecure of himself. The “ugly haircut” thing, the “Awake” song etc. but this is all based on context, and this is why Jin might be hard-to-figure-out, and seem contradictory. But this is actually a common thread with Jin: his Master’s degree did not get that much focus, and he almost never talked about it, but we know he got one behind the scenes. He never mentions his hard work in dance, singing, acting, but we know, based on Jin’s performance but also what other members has said that he works hard on these things. To sum it up, Jin has a “core” personality. He’s an introvert, based on the fact that he is very comfortable being alone with his own thoughts and gains energy from being by himself, but at the same, time, he can be outgoing and social. He also has a strong sense of “self”, and is in general a straightforward and honest person. He’s also a thoughtful and kind person, who tries to have a positive outlook on life. He’s very private and will keep his true worries to himself.

it's amazing! 💜 as an introvert myself, i know really well how much effort, maturity & humbleness it needs to be this good in socializing. not only he approach people no matter who they are, but he also takes care people around them to be comfortable & happy without being obvious. that's such a pure beautiful heart..i learn many things from him. 😊 can't help but adore this man. 💜💜💜
