The live performance of Tear basically fully converted me from a casual viewer to a rapline fan and J-Hope stan. The rapline have great chemistry when performing; they play off each other really well and their individual styles come together seamlessly to form this masterpiece. I will make special mention of J-Hope because I was stunned by his stage presence the first time I watched it. J-Hope is the ultimate hype beast- he knows how to play with and intensify the audience's emotions. His complete immersion in the performance draws the audience in. Despite being a dancer, he doesn't even need choreography to make this performance engaging. He has such awareness of his movements that he is able to convey meaning with a simple gesture eg. covering his eyes at the 'Tear' part. It's mesmerising to watch the way he raps- the beat is like an electric current passing through and energising him. His popping during the last verse was so intense that I couldn't catch my breath until it was over. Honestly, the live delivery of any rapline song takes it to a whole other level. Can't wait to see the live performance of Ugh! Also, congrats to Yoongi on the release of Agust D2!
If I remember well, Joon said the rapline writes songs that they know that they'll enjoy performing, and it absolutely shows every single time, specifically in Outro:Tear, the chemistry they share as a rapline is insane.
해체를 고민하던 시절에 썼던 곡.. 가사와 목소리에서 뜨거운 눈물이 느껴진다 어마무시한 것들을 겪으면서 느껴야 했던 착잡함과 회의감 분노 방황 슬픔 그들에겐 이미 일상인 돼버린 감정의 파편들일 뿐이겠지 이렇게 건강한 방식으로 표출해줘서 대견하고 고맙고 안쓰럽고.. 감동이다
The fact that this song was written about each other when the group was on the verge of giving up. The fact that they perform it with such intensity and rawness. The fact that by the end of the song Hobi almost always has tears in his eyes...that says a lot about BTS as a team and about their dynamic and love for one another.
Here is the perfect example of young men making incredible rap without singing for drugs or bitches! And the best part that they are really good and humble humans in life ! No show off of cars and money ! And they still kill every charts :)❤️

I don't know about the cars & money part (look at Suga's necklace!) but beautiful souls, humble, gifted, don't take their fame for granted. They have elevated pop music to a new challenge- they are performance art IMO. I don't even like rap but what they do with it is "other level" as Suga likes to say, beyond what others have.

브더사 보고 왔어요...방탄소년단 멤버들을 생각하며 만든 곡...눈물이 날 것 같아요. 저 비트와 애절함이 좋았던 곡이었는데 이 노래가 방탄소년단 멤버들을 향한 곡일줄은 꿈에도 몰랐어요. 사랑을 향한 애증을 노래한 곡인줄로만 알았는데 멤버들이라는 정해진 대상에 감정 이입을 하다보니 정말 쓰라린 곡 같아요. 마지막 제이홉의 표정을 보니 더 실감이 나네요. 얼마나 힘들었을까. 우리가 모르는 것들은 또 무엇일까. 드러나지 않아서 더 슬픈 것 같아요.

I never wanted to choose one more then other, but Hobi was born for this. Stage presence, performance, everything. He is a born performer. I could watch him day and night. Not that RM and Suga are any less good, they’re killing it too. I just can’t get over Hobi. This trio could not be any different, nor better! Thank you God, we’re living in the same era.
