이 원음 복원 작업은 ‘공연(空緣) 김무득(金無得) 법사(法師)님의 지혜로운 통찰과 학식에 기반해 성취할 수 있었음을 밝힙니다.

탑(塔)을 세우고 다라니(陀羅尼)를 염송함으로서 얻어지는 공덕(功德)의 효과를 설명하고 있습니다.
This scripture is,
It explains the effect of merit by building a tower, copying DARANI(mantra), and reading.
부처님께서 가비라성(迦毘羅城)에서 법을 전하고 계실 때,
‘브라만’이었던 겁비라전다(劫比羅戰茶)는, 자신이 7일 후에 죽게 될 것이라는 뛰어난 관상가의 말을 듣고 크게 근심하다가 부처님을 찾아와 자신의 구원을 요청했습니다.
When the Buddha was delivering Darma in Kapilavasthu,
劫比羅戰茶 Brahmin was told that he was an outstanding prophet who said that he would die in seven days. After much anxiety, he came to the Buddha and asked him to save himself.
겁비라전다의 요청을 받아들인 부처님께서 다음과 같이 수명을 연장할 수 있는 방법을 알려주셨습니다.
The Buddha, who accepted the request of the 劫比羅戰茶, taught us how to extend his life as follows.
당시 성(城) 안에 있었던 오래된 사리탑(舍利塔)을 수리 재건하면서 탑 안에 최승무구(最勝無垢) 청정광(淸淨光) 다라니 다섯편을 글로 써서 넣어 두고, 다라니를 염송하면, 수명을 연장할 수 있으며, 죽어서도 극락세계에 태어날 수 있다고 부처님께서 말씀하셨습니다.
He told me to repair and reconstruct the old Buddha Pagoda that was in the castle at the time.
And if you put five of these Darani scriptures in writing in the tower and read them out,

이것은,
선근(善根) 공덕의 인연과 뿌리를 견고하게 하는 자심인(自心印) 다라니를 염송하는 방법을 설한 것이고,
This is Darani, who solidifies the roots of good relationships and merit.
또, 위대한 공덕을 성취하는(大功德成聚)다라니이며,
This is Darani, who achieves the greatest merit.
또, 가장 위대한 경지의 주문(呪文)을 완성하는 다라니이며,
This is dharani who completes the mantra of the greatest state.
또, 대승 완성의 경지를 성취하는 6바라밀(六波羅密)다라니입니다.
This mantra is six Paramita darani, who achieves the completion of mahayāna.
이 다라니는 탑을 건립하거나 보수할 때에 유용한 다라니입니다.
This mantra is a dharani that is useful for building or renovating Pagoda.
이 다라니 수행을 통해서 수명(壽命)을 연장할 수 있고,
You can extend your lifespan by performing this dharani,
죽은 뒤에는 극락에 태어날 수 있으며,
After death, you can be born in paradise,
살아가면서 모든 소원을 원만히 성취하게 해주는 위대한 힘이 있다고 했습니다.
It is said that there is a great power to achieve all wishes smoothly throughout life.
