The whole song is about them taking revenge for their former member Soojin, if you search it up you'll find a loooooot of explanations and that's some beautiful tribute
For what I have read, the history they tell is that Shuhua (interpretating Soojin) is in a toxic relationship (her being kicked out and all the hate) and wants revenge, so she talks with her friend Yuqi and her neighbour Minnie who is rich and has a nanny (Soyeon). Minnie loves playing with fire and it seems like she has already had some problems with the authorities because she becomes the main suspect, the detective that is in charge of this case is Miyeon, I haven't figured out yet how she is connected to the rest, but she is also an accomplice. So they help Soojin to take her revenge, Yuqi protects Soojin, Miyeon uses the pen to k!ll him and Soyeon uses cleaning supplies to burn that place down thanks to Minnie. But to make it seen like an accident they decide to leave Soojin inside "burning herself" thats why in 4:35 in Shuhua's scene you can see in the newspaper the de4th (guy) and the hurt (Soojin). The history is being told by Shuhua (the actual one) that is investigating everything and found out everything but decides to shut up and become the last accomplice. In the last scene you can she that "the hurt" isn´t actually wounded that simbolices that Soojin has risen again. Disclaimer: I'm sorry if there is any spelling mistake, english is not my first language. And also this is a mixture of theories I've read and my own. :)
Their official channel released a video called "Revenge : Case file (G)" and it basically explains the story and who plays who! Shuhua is the only member to play 2 roles as we see, Victim and Detective. As a lot of speculations is that the Victim being Soojin considering the files on the pin board had one evidence file with 6 fingerprints and another with 4 birthdays, one being Soojin's birthday. The unraveling of the bandages at the end is showing us the victim surivived/reborn. I too belive that this video is about Soojin! As you mentioned, (G)I-Dle is unpredictable and I love them for that! Our QUEENS don't disappoint!

This mv is definitely for Soojin. Her birthday on the newspaper, 6 finger prints, 6 members at the hallway and I believe it’s “Soojin” aka shuhua on the last scene because Soojins mole is on her right cheek) as she is removing the bandage that she has returned unhurt and made her stronger (from all that bullying scandal and departure from Gidle)
The "Revenge" video shows the members of (G)I-dle plan and enact bloody revenge. The members then burn the evidence and make their escape. btw love your reaction and yeah THE NEW INTRO it's soo good ❤
My take on the storyline. Shuhua plays two roles (victim from domestic violence & detective); Secondly I agree that the mv isn’t in time sequence order. The explosion in the beginning is staged by the girls to cover up killing the abuser (as you can see Shuhua injuries caused by the later fight scene). Oh and Soojin’s birthday. That can’t be coincidental.
Do you know something more interesting, in the Intermediate scene where the girls finish off the perpetrator, the spectator who is watching the video has the view of who is suffering revenge, that is to say "it feels like the pain I am experiencing of even losing my life is the happiness of my victims"And for me that is the real cheery on the cake, the girls are speaking directly to that society that judged, attacked and above all turned its back on Soojin and their scandal, plus the video they published today "I closed my diary and decided to become an accomplice" We are literally going crazy because IDLE is unmatched in everything Thanks for your reaction ❤

I think its about soojin too. Alot of people have been saying that the see soojin in shuhua and sometimes she does look like soojin and give soojin vibes. I read that Shuhua plays too parts. The victim and the detective. Its soojin
Ok so the non delulu explanation is this (from the story film they posted for revenge) miyeon is a psychiatrist. Her patient is Minnie who is a celebrity. Soyeon is a housekeeper and yuqi is the next door neighbour of the victim. Shuhua is the investigator of this case “case (G)” she solves the case and it turns out miyeon Minnie soyeon and yuqi were in it together and she decides to join them after acknowledging their ingenious. They’d never get caught since miyeon is on the lie detector test interrogating Minnie soyeon can just lie about what happened since she’s the housekeeper and yuqi can support soyeons lie since she’s the next door neighbour who is also a musician . Shuhua has two roles. Detective Shuhua is Shuhua 1 . Victim Shuhua is Shuhua 2. So Shuhua 1 is like damn they’re so hot for this and she joins them. So Shuhua 2 is ded atp and the molester comes after Shuhua 2 cause she’s the detective on the case. Girls then shake this guys a$$ set the place on fire and yuqi gives them a concert ft the flames. In the end you can see Shuhua 1 remove her bandage, cause ofc girlie was wounded in the process, and ofc she looks gorgeous. End of the story.
Wow it WAS out of order! Also, I was starting to think I was the only one who was so affected by that domestic violence scene, somehow every reactor I've seen has been relatively chill, even joking or forgetting about it later? While it really, really hits viscerally if you are, well, a woman in a community of women where this is a very real, possible scenario

I think your theory is already correct in most part, but imo the last part is to show that they just fabricate it and made the victim got a fake burn so she won't get suspected. Shuhua opened the bandage to show that she is actually not hurt it's just staged along with the other girls.
