When Jack says he calls his boys and says "come look" as if it was a "dead body" means that : when he saw a beautiful girl when he was young boy he got all choked up and acted like he never seen anything like it before so he called his friends to see the same beauty as he same way as people who become witness to seeing a "dead body" on the street for the first time and there is always crowd gathering to watch what happened at the scene and everyone is calling everyone by saying " come look...what happened" . I think this is what he meant by saying this in that way.

I'm obsessed with this song. Love your analysis on the song and i agree with you. I do believe it's the way Jack worded his rap parts are what some people do not like, but at least the alternate version is out there to listen to (which is also on the dance practice video). "I'm on my Jungkook, take a chick off one look" means the Jungkook effect. He's saying when Jungkook looks at a female, she's all his instantly.

ABG is Asian Boss Girl (I had to look it up!) Dead body can also refer to "Drop-dead- Gorgeous". It's a term we use in the US to refer to someone as so stunningly beautiful/gorgeous/handsome, that you see them and could just die from how unbelievable they look. Also as you said, gossip etc about someone's dating life is big news on the internet and the more people they "date" or are associated with romantically, the more interesting they become ...even to the point if being called specific names (look at Taylor Swift!!!!) Seriously. And bae, Tampa is a play on Tampa Bay (Florida USA) and Bucks is a play on the Tampa Buccaneers (locally called the Bucs) I am hoping that brings him to my area, because I live in the Tampa Bay area!!! And we have a HUGE football arena/stadium!!! I agree it's an ear-worm/ear-candy!! So good!! I prefer the Alternate version, as the rap part is out and it's basically JK ASMR!!! When I first listened to 3D, I immediately thought it sounded like a mix of Ricky Martin and Michael Jackson 😍 I was obsessed with Ricky Martin as a child, and listened to him constantly, so this has a really fun nostalgic feel for me, even if the lyrics are more raunchy 😂

Resonate with your lyric analysis and here are some of my thoughts. 'I'm on my Jungkook' means he's having the Jungkook effect when it comes to the girls. The 'dead body' reference is his reaction to a stunning body, ie the excited way he called his boys to look at it is like as if he's seen a body. Both men were definitely spicy but worth to note that consent was asked by both of them. And it's funny you mentioned something about some terms flying over your head because you're not American, which I think is part of the cause of the massive uproar over Jack's verses. Also JK did say that they were aiming for an updated retro sound, so you're on point there. There are people who say they see the difference between Jungkook's songs and other members' and they don't like his .. all I can say is, I think apart from giving the guys freedom to explore after having to suppress it for 10 years, all of them have a role to reach out to different sets of audience so BTS will have a bigger and diverse fanbase to facilitate longevity when they regroup. JK, in particular, seems to be positioned to capture the Billboard type market, which I think he is doing a good job of so far. It's fine if his songs are not your cup of tea but don't make it like it's a bad thing .. just think of it as a mean to a bigger purpose for BTS.

Jungkook nails the vibe with his JT inspired flex and sexy lyrics. While agree the tone,flow and beats of Jack fit the lyrics content did not . But I feel like it’s the same as I felt with latto, while jk weaves a play on words or metaphorical references to created innuendo Latto and Jack are western and to be frank as a westerner who didn’t like this trend even before discovering kpop, crude. His verse feels like cheap and unattractive attitude in lyric form. Jungkook seems to say I wanna meet and maybe get physical in ‘3D’ but most of the rest is implied but crystal clear. Just because he’s coming from kpop I think it’s part of what I love about the industry is that a large percentage have to get clever about the lyrics and imagery to be more sensual or explicit while having a mood of either graphic by kpop standard or mild clearly rooted but it’s more classy not trashy. It’s not that they don’t touch on sexual, graphic or swearing at all but they are smart about it. It’s not in the song unless it’s the touches it needs. Where really needs it, and just enough. Western music was going full I’m gonna be graphic, crude, excessive and aggressive about it before I found kpop 5yrs ago and I found just unappealing as it was either portraying a character I would dislike as a person or attitude I did not vibe with. Even now I go on Apple Music and the top 40 almost every single song has E for explicit next to it. Some songs or music need that touch of r rated and can make some perfection but if everything is all that there is no levels it’s a fog horn of monotony when it comes to E rated content. This is where I wish like seven I could cut out the feat as the tunes are good and kookie is great but I dislike the feat lyrics so much it puts me off playing it. Tonal, flow etc technique is great and fits it’s the lyrics I don’t like from jack. It’s not even about context cause kookie is also talking about hooking up but Jack lyrics imply doesn’t care who just wants the action wouldn’t even remember name, this girl is a conquest so to say rather than a mutual one night or more, from lyrics impression that is. With kookie it feels like mututal tone with the girl they both want to get together and either just have that experience maybe more maybe not. Jack the vibe felt like the character in films that makes the bet to bang the girl, to tick a check mark or sees pretty and just wants them to do stuff it’s not level it’s she’s an object not the partner. Not saying anything is real ppl feelings lol 😂 All for all the guys exploring and experimenting and I have really liked the kookie content I just want smarter lyrics to create that same boom chica wa wah party without the vibe changing from yasssss to no thanks.

I'm with the folks preferring the alternative version without Jack Harlow. The added bonus is that you get a longer song, with JK adding in some variation and hitting high notes. I don't mind him singing sexy stuff (I'm learning all sorts of slang too; thank heaven for the Urban Dictionary), but Jack's stuff is exploitative. Where I'm conflicted is that I'm totally enjoying watching Jungkook strip off more clothing with every video. You go, boy-- strip me of my principles.

I am a Jungkook fan. I am streaming 3D on YT and Spotify since its release. I am proud of Jungkook for breaking out of the baby-of-the-group image. 3D is an awesome song and Jungkook's vocals shine even more than Seven, especially in the post-chorus part of the song. Jungkook dance is confident and vocals chef's kiss 🤌. I am also glad to see JK collab and experiment with artists outside his usual circle. I am grown up (& older than JK) so I found his sexual innuendos to be clever. I enjoyed that. I do not have a problem with either JK or even harlow talking about sex. But there are phrases in harlow's part that are lame, desperate and also change the context of the song. There is objectification and sugar daddy vibes. 1) "When I seen that body you would think it was a dead body. The way I told my boys come look" this paints an uncomfortable context of someone lifeless and harlow telling his boys to come look. 2) "I used to take girls up to Stony Brook. And steal they hearts like some crook" some bragging vibes about stealing hearts. Again I wish harlow talked about sex only. Rather than painting contexts that make him look bad. Steal they hearts like some crook. He thinks he is sounding cool doing it, but no. This is an old cliche of treating people like objects and playing with them. 3) The whole "one girl, two girl..." part is where harlow sinks the song. harlow can talk about sex all he wants but his contexts are a huge problem. And in this part Drew Kirsch did not help his case. He literally showed girls stacking behind harlow like objects on a shelf. All the girls in this rap part of harlow looked like lifeless girls who existed like objects standing in a line. 4) "I got you playing with yourself on camera" and "I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me". These lyrics are simply so lame. They sound like written by a desperate person online rather than a professional songwriter. These sentences were cringey and icky. 5) "And as for thots". Thots is the new slang for sluts. It is used in an offensive way. Other than these, the whole ABGs line as well. Like there are enough problems with harlow's lyrics and he does disturb the vibe of the song that Jungkook had so beautifully created. Jungkook's parts were talking about sex but were not painting weird contexts. harlow did that bringing objectification, desperation and sugar daddyness in the song. I am glad Jungkook/Hybe were sensible enough to have an alternate version completely erasing harlow. The alt version is not changing a few words but literally just rid of the root of the problem (i.e. harlow). I am proud of JK/Hybe for making that decision. I think with time, the alt version will get more plays. Thankfully dance practice video has that too, so any live performances should as well. Jungkook you are doing amazing! Keep slaying with your vocals and dance moves! 🫶

The "dead body" is a reference to the Stephen King novella "The Body", later adapted into the classic movie "Stand By Me", where the protagonists' journey is begun when they set out to see the body of a kid hit by a train.

Thank you for your thoughtful lyric breakdown. Let's say you have a partner that you can't see all the time. You call them on the phone, and facetime them. You get to the point that you want more. You want to be with them in 3D. Sexy phone calls and facetiming are nothing new. (Well compared to the 90's, we didn't have facetime, it was all over the phone. Champagne and confetti would not be crazy to imagine the literal champagne and confetti you could have when the person you like is coming to town or if you’re going to visit them… champagne is celebration… same with confetti…. This isn't a personal criticism, but why do all reactors have to compare BTS and it's members' music to another artist, genre or time period? How about JK is doing JK in the JK year of 2023? The blatant objectification of women, and polygamous promiscuity that the song endorses is horrible. Sensual, sexy, and mature songs are amazing, but this is explicit, shallow, vulgar, and gross. It's a huge downgrade from Dreamers, Still With You, My Time, My You, Stay Alive, Begin, and Euphoria. I love Jungkook, but I'll pass on this one. The song is catchy, but it's not at his level.
