jimin ofter does background vocal with his low register in bts songs but usually ppl know him for high notes only. i am glad now he can showcase his ability to play with his vocal layers freely. such an incredible vocalist

I can't believe how Jimin was concerned about embarrassing the other members with his solo. He never realizes how amazing he is. He actually said what he was doing on his album was nothing special. He is truly a one of a kind talent.

The only thing when jimin sings does not seem his voice and that has an explanation is why jimin has been working on his low notes and has achieved it. ❤

I was surprised when people say the voice doesn’t sound like Jimin. Since I’m a korean and Jimin bias, it sounds very Jimin, one of his voices. I think because Jimin usually sings high note, people are not familiar with his various vocal tones. If you are ready to listen his vocals, you will be more mesmerized by him.

If fans remember back to BTS beginnings & they were hip hop focused Jimin has a deeper raspy rap vocals. it's always been a part of him but rarely shown. We are seeing all of Jimin come together. not to be separated ever again. He, also has a temper that he has learned to calm over the years. This MV took me back to younger Jimin now saying "let me out" as a full grown man. I began with BTS way before they became a group/idols. All due to underground rap scene & finding RM when young. Glad I followed him to be able to see the growth of these magnificent men. Yes, Jimin needs to be "him" all the way. So proud of him. Extraodinary MV. Eager for his full album as he has much more to share with us. I agree with PD that Jimin's uniqueness will crush concept of Kpop as he will go beyond. BTS are seemingly to break down barriers even in their country & Kpop industry. It's time. All their solo breakouts are a variation or mix in genres to point they seem to be presenting a new era for music entertainment. Breaking stereotypes. Yes, it's about time. Go Jimin as he demands "Set Me Free" extending what j-hope shared in wanting "MORE" & burning down Kpop in "ARSON". And then RM going outside & letting us know stop trying to pigeon hole them in "Wild Flower". End it all as here they come to say "here is me, us...now deal" as they will be back! Just WOW. Set me free part 1 is actually Suga's song Jimin thought it would be nice to name his part two since they convey almost a bit of the same context. Suga wants to be set free from the now and Jimin wants to be set free to move on to the next step of his life. So yeah.

Jimin does release concept photos for this/his album in black and white outfits , so of course there is a message ,probably as much as we can assume , his dark past and how he overcame them and came to be in a new light💜 , and I have a theory that the f*** off word and the fool might be actually him telling or calling out to his inner dark self much rather than haters, to go away and that he is gonna keep moving forward towards the light and yeah , setting himself free from that past struggles etc . That's how I understand the song 😆 , despite being kinda conservative myself and sensitive of him and the members using the f word. Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this makes me that much more excited, waiting in anticipation for release of the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” on March 24, along with his other, main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. This is Jimin putting down his inner demons/or haters. The auto tune is the demons/haters voices that constantly make him doubt himself. Jimins voice is in there if you listen carefully. The end where he's in white is him reborn without the voices of his doubts or his haters, as he's finally accepted that he's not what they've been saying. He's finally free of them.
