I have no idea why some people criticize Mr.Beck. He always says his way to cook is not perfect , according to personal taste people change the way to cook. Thank you, Mr.Beck.
This is a great recipe :) just like the ones I had in a Korean restaurant. It is sad though, how the only comments here are about the amount of sugar (which is totally reasonable for that amount of ingredients tbh), and how the chef sells products for money (which is totally unrelated to this video). Just enjoy the recipe and if you don't agree with the amount of sugar, just don't make it GOSH.
To those that want to try this recipe, Mr Baek tends to use alot of sugar and his measuring is not the standard cup that westerners use. He uses either soju cup or paper cup standards and i hate it sometimes.
gnsgml11 what he does is common in MANY korean recipes because many of us dont use measuring cups and spoons as much as western cooking. Sometimes when they say spoonful they mean household spoon size. Big spoon is table spoon small spoon is teaspoon.
Almost all Koreans have no measuring cup and spoon in their home. This TV show is aimed at this kind of ordinary people in Korea, not for a person working in restaurant.
@@josephy.8654 lol you guys don't think I know that? FYI i'm Korean too. My comment wasn't targeted at other Koreans. I'm just letting others know that the cup or spoon doesn't mean the same like in western countries. AND I hate using soju cup and paper cup because I can't find the right size where I live. Lucky I use korean sized spoons though because the spoons here are massive.
oh and I tried this recipe with the same amount of sugar he used and the dish came out too sweet to the point that I had to throw it away. I saw other recipes that copy this one and they all seem to reduce the amount of sugar they put in.
