My personal assesment: Mid-Upper Belt (4th Oct. - D5 i guess XD) 1. Ailee 97/100 2. Son Seung Yeon 95/100 3. Hyorin 93/100 4. Taeyeon 91/100 5. Shanon 90/100 Upper Belt (Above D5) 1. Son Seung Yeon 98/100 2. Ailee 95/100 3. Hyorin (in this vid) 94/100 4. Shanon 91/100 5. Taeyeon 88/100 I can't really evaluate their performance objectively bcs i don't have enough knowledge about vocal technique to really evaluate them objectively. My assesment based on the impact i had when they hit the note. My personal assesment about some of these artist generally (not based on this video) 1. SSY is my fave because the way she convey a song's emotion is priceless, she knows where a song's "ticklish" part is, she knows how to pull off a performance on stage, she can adapt with almost every genre (as far as i know, check her performances on IS2) and , her control is amazing , and on top of that: SHE IS 23, oh lord. 2. Ailee is definitely a mega superstar. She is energetic, elegant, and sexy at the same time. She is the queen of performance out of these 5. Though her emotion isn't enough deep to actually touch SSY level (my opinion, maybe bcs she hasn't showed me yet). She enriched with such great musicianship and her smile is so captivating. 3. Hyorin was my fave for a while until her regression year after year. But she should be counted as one of the best idol among the other. She is stunning. 4. Shanon, i don't know her much, so i wont give any futher commentary about her. 5. Taeyeon has plenty of good music in her career, her voice is so sweet, and she is so pretty. But i think she will ripe even more than now in the future

Son seung Yeon sounded more supported Nd the clarity was crazy. I'm not a fan of any of them. But I would say her and then Ailee at a very close second.

Personally Ailee by a long shot. The girl from the voice (I think) is good too, but Ailee's voice just as more character to my ears. The other girls were a little too... youthful? And inconsistent vibrato is a pet peeve of mine. Nice work!

전체적으로 발성으로만 비교하면 손승연과 에일리인데 여기부턴 취향싸움. 찌르는 고음으로 조지는 노래 좋아하면 손승연, 풍부한 소리와 엄청난 성량을 좋아하면 에일리임. 다양한 창법을 구사하는 건 에일리 쪽이고 한가지 창법으로 컨디션 안타게 부르는 건 손승연 쪽

Son Seung Yeon>Ailee>Shannon>Hyorin>Taeyeon Great job. Son Seung Yeon's mix is more balanced and consistent than Ailee's. Shannon's mix is very excellent for her age but tends to get a bit shouty above E5. It's kind of hard to say where she is because she's so young. Hyorin regressed a bit while Taeyeon improved but I still think Hyorin's better because Hyorin can support Eb5's while Taeyeon cannot.

In my opinion: A4-C5: Son Seungyeon > Ailee=Taeyeon > Shannon > Hyorin C#5-Eb5: Son Seungyeon = Ailee > Shannon = Hyorin > Taeyeon E5-F#5: Son Seungyeon > Ailee >= Hyorin > Shannon > Taeyeon I just love Seungyeon's tone SO MUCH. It just comes out of her naturally, even though Ailee is quite above her overall.

Objectively / Technically : 1.Ailee (just slightly better than Seun) 2.Seungyeon 3.Hyorin (just slightly better than Shanon) 4.Shannon (much better than Taeyeon) 5.Taeyeon (Sincerly she doesn't have the same level as the others, technically she's lacking and her vocal skills are limited, she's just above average vocally, while the others are really good).

I can't deal with the fan bias towards Ailee in the comments. Son Seung Yeon is so obviously better objectively. "But Ailee is more powerful", what!?!? Son is blowing them all out of the water (including Ailee) on all notes above C5. For starters, Son's belts (again, above C5) are ALL stronger and way more resonant than Ailee's (resonance > power). For a soprano, Ailee still hasn't learned how to stop dragging her chest into her mix and stopping herself from achieving ACTUAL POWER AND RESONANCE, she's trying to sound like a mezzo to further imitate Beyonce, but the problem is, that Beyonce has an even mix and her belts only sound more "powerful" because of her different voice type (Beyonce is a dark Coloratura Mezzo). It stopped being a battle for Son and Ailee after the tenor (contralto) belts, and all the rest were just sorta there as background noise lol. But my god I would love an Ailee and Son duet, god that'd be lovely. (I still love Ailee I just can't stand the bias)

it was clear that AILEE and song seung young voice has a great power than others, that's why they are born to be soloist, shannon just need to learn than imitating someone else's style. otherwise all of them is good.

i dislike ailee's tone, but i admit she's a strong vocalist. from this video i'd choose son seungyeon. however, shannon is young and has room to grow in her voice. i think she's great and the next big thing.

Personally prefer Ailee (if u compare her singing from the past till now u can see how much she had improved, so impressive). I mean they all great singers but Son Seung Yeon sounds abit like shouting at the higher notes, Shannon wasn't very stable all the time like sometime she sounds better but sometimes it's a bit weird, Taeyeon is good at low-middle notes but I can't feel that kind of fulfilment when she sings higher notes, and Hyolyn is technically as good as Ailee and Son Seung Yeon but maybe because of her unique husky voice sometimes she doesn't sound as good as the others. (Just my personal opinion :) )

Ailee's notes in the fourth octave are flawless. My favorite tones are Taeyeon's and Hyorin's. As Hyorin ascends I like how she keeps her beautiful and bright tone, some of the other singers' notes sounded a bit metallic( if I make sense lol).
