Hey. To anyone who finds this, and to everyone going through a hard time... it's okay to need to take things step by step. To just take a moment and breathe. You drank some water today? Good job! You ate some breakfast today? Good job! Just go through and take each step one at a time. You're here for a reason, and you have the capability to change the world for the better by just being kind. If you ever feel like you're getting dragged under, then just remember that that janitor you smiled and waved at earlier...that simple happy acknowledgement of their presence and the good they're doing might've made their week. And if you're that janitor, then give out kindness and you'll start getting it back eventually. A few violent or angry acts can lead to a war, but one kind act can stop a war from starting in the first place. So, to all of you who know all too well the sheer exhaustion and hopelessness stress can put on the heart, to all of you who live in that painfully dull emotionless grey of depression, to all of you in desperate need of a kind word, to all of you who feel chained down by anxiety's vicious and parasitic grip...to all of you who are in pain...know that I dearly hope that you find comfort soon, and know that you are not meaningless or worthless. It's wild how music feels to different people. A lot of people just feel pretty much the same thing when hearing this and the normal version. To me, it sounds so incredibly sad, alone and kinda depressing that i wasn't able to listen to this version for years, because i got a heartache from listening to it, reminding me of my own loneliness and seeming inability to make and maintain friendships, even 3 years later. Meanwhile i found a way to deal with it almost completly and now i can listen to this and enjoy it, although still a bit painful sometimes. If anyone reads this and feels kind of the same as i do, i wish you the best in the future and whatever your situation might be, eventually, it will get better, i truly believe that.

The game itself even supports this notion. There's lots of difficult and fast-paced platforming sections, not to mention the DLC. But there's also plenty of spots where Hat Kid can just take a seat and enjoy the slowed down versions of the soundtrack.
I agree with your main point, but not all vaporwave is just slowed down samples. For example, check out Home - Resonance for all original vaporwave that gives the same chill nostalgic vibe as this song.
Music just slowed down is called Daycore, as it's the opposite of Nightcore. but i think it may produce vaporwave-like musics if you just slow the thing down

This made me cry. The nostalgia and feelings evoked from the video were too much to handle. I only found out recently that between my group of good friends, I had been causing a lot of problems. I want to fix my problems but the hate I am getting just makes me want to give up. And to make matters worse, I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am so lost right now. I did not mean to cause any problems. I just need my peace and tranquility.

I used this to calm down after a bad fight with my mom a while ago. It really helped keep me out of a bad place, and let me go on to relax to it now when nothing is wrong. Thank you, peace and tranquility
I vibe to this to a spiritual level. my grandpa died today. meanwhile the only thing i felt was a sharp pain in my chest. this helped relax a bunch.. although, life indeed is stressful.

Always spread positivity instead of negativity. Maybe someone hurt you in the past but don't hold grudges. Every person deserves a second chance to change their wrongs to a right. In the case that they still act the way they do, even then just get them out of your life and move on. If they get bad karma you shouldn't take revenge and insult them back. Praying on someone's downfall makes you no better than how badly they treated others. Always spread love and not hate; if what comes out your mouth isn't something nice just don't say it. One thing I really appreciate about this game is that it doesn’t penalize you for enabling the easier versions (assist and peace and tranquility) I didn’t enable help for the main game, but I’m not good enough at the game to do most of the death wishes on my own, so it’s really nice to be able to get all the same rewards for less frustration and difficulty, not that it’s easy haha I was a fan of A Hat in Time years ago when DanTDM played it, I was a fan about a couple years ago when I watched a full no-commentary playthrough, but I’m an even bigger fan now that I actually have it myself. I got it for Christmas and I’ve been hyperfixating on it since I started. There’s so much I could say, but I’m just gonna sleep because it’s late. Thank you for this video, goodnight everyone
this song has helped me a lot distract myself from the breakup I've experienced. this is my second break up with her, and it still helped... it remind me of the first, but I have to suck it up and own to myself that it's my fault.

All of the peace and tranquility songs and remixes make me so goddamn emotional. Just remembering the encouraging words from the game screen in the morning or late at night when my depression and intrusive thoughts are at their peak- brings me so much comfort I end up welling up with happy tears. I don't have to prove myself to anyone, but I also strive to be as happy and carefree as hat kid!
