It's hard to believe a song I made (Akrasia 1:48:46 ) is on this channel ☺. Over 9 years ago (Sept 2012) I found this channel and added the first of many songs to my favorites and since then I've been following the channel been grateful for finding music I wouldn't have otherwise discovered. I never would have believed that someday, some music that I made would be here. Thank you so much for including my music alongside so many great artists on such a prestigious channel. I am really grateful. The artwork and mix are really great - really nice job Kryssalian for the Graphics and Rogue VHS for the mix and thank you so much Sheepy and everyone involved for supporting such music. Huge respect to you all. Best Wishes, NiElsir. 😍

A big thank you to all the artists and labels involved in this inaugural Synthwave Cyberpunk mixtape. It has been a great year for Synthwave Cyberpunk music, and this mix is a sample of the playlist over on Spotify. Thanks to Rogue VHS for mixing and Kryssalian for the original art and animation. All links in the description. Please show them all some love! Enjoy 😊
Was really vibing to this and then I heard Rouge VHS' song " Dust + Stars"....played that repeatedly a few times because it was so good. Happy to see s/he was the one to do the mixing for this set. Thanks for this mix, I had no idea this genre existed!
I deeply love synthwave because it conveys a feeling of loneliness in a futuristic, artificial world where we are constantly searching for ourselves. And I feel that way about modernity. Make this musical genre last in time, because it allows me to find myself.
Even though it does have a somewhat somewhat futuristic feel to it, there's also something almost timeless about the way this music sounds and feels. Like the future version of yourself randomly showing up at your last 8th grade dance on a mission. First objective being to commandeer the DJ booth and throw on this tasty selection of beats. Second objective, make the 8th grader version of yourself finally go talk to his crush, and ask her to dance!
Absolute honour to be featured. I've been a follower for the best part of a decade and your mixes have always been a go to for me. Surreal to be on one of them myself now. Much love Sheepy

@Darkstar could you assume it's a man while reading a comment and not jump to the conclusion that the commentator has an issue with it being a man or woman??? After you do that- understand that nothing in this situation requires the viewer to judge the gender of the character accurately - it looks most like a man. I feel bad for you that, in your narrowness of perspective, you couldn't visualise what the commentator was imagining..which was the point of the whole comment.
The music, the picture, the city, the character just standing there waiting for something... it makes me want to know everything about this world. Fantastic music.
God bless synthwave and lofi. I play this in the background of my English classes and my students love it. It's good to be a millennial, we're the bridge between the proto-Internet era and Gen Z, always keeping up with it all, being part of its inception, as well as its more recent and forthcoming fruits (like this amazing music genre)
This made me strangely emotional (with the music in the background) I’m a millennial as well, and I had some pretty cool teachers back then. I feel like you’d be one of em for sure.
Awesome to be a part of this, thanks for showcasing all these great artists and taking the time to share everyone's links and give them a chance to shine, and cheers to everyone listening!
I never felt blessed living in Hong Kong before ever. Until lately i realized the city here is the cyberpunk itself. Something yall may only be able to see in the movies. Im seeing it every night while going back home.
Watching a lot of Kar-Wai films, I've always wanted to visit Hong Kong atleast once, the visuals are soo pleasing. But sadly the political instability is an issue since long ago
Oh my god, yes! 🥡🍚 Hong Kong is a beautiful metropolis city. I am currently reading about China's mega cities and this is indeed my favorite country to celebrate! Did I mention this is the year of the tiger? Happy Lunar New Year 🐯!!!

The transition between Souls Depart (6:56) and The Rain (10:50) is FLAWLESS. I thought it was really long song since the vibes of each song go together so well. And the Tempo shift of The Rain adds so much to the experience.
This is somehow the greatest synth compilation I've ever heard. It has bangers, slappers, nostalgia, deep focus, everything! And the arrangement of the songs is nothing short of perfection. Just brilliant!
@MrSuicideSheep
for those of you wondering about this mix's calming effect. I think it has to do with a few elements: the pacing of the music is interesting but not overly exciting. The art elements of Rain and a character relaxing are important, they are signals to relax. And lots of cool colors. Blue helps people relax so the variation of blues purples and night themes are helpful. Those are my thoughts, they are only opinions I hope this helps :)
These songs make me think about the 21st century infrastructure of humanity. Some people just look at some buildings and say "nothing interesting about them" but it absolutely blows my mind how we went from the stone age. Too this insane infrastructure. I mean look at new York. Dubai. London.
As someone who does not take a keen interest in 21st century infrastructure, it's because of the sky scrapers that looks like a giant **rectangular** bloc of glass, it's so boring and uninteresting. While the buildings in cyberpunk style have many more geometrical shapes, kind of like Singapur, Shanghai, Hong Kong... But more exaggerated, like in Tokyo. The lights of the many buildings, from appartments to ad billdoards looks better in Tokyo, then in America for exemple.
While listening to this playlist, I imagine myself in a car, driving through the city at high speeds. There’s a cigarette smoke and sleepless night ahead. Completely alone, having no one left, and yet dreaming about some kind of bonds which will hurt us two. Probably, this person is reserved and a bit risky. We’ve met on the road during the street racing. She/he doesn’t look like one who’s into relations, but certainly he/she is empathetic, and we don’t need more. Only both of us in cypher-punk world with neon lights and dangerous dead-ends
I’ve only just discovered this genre. It is.. something. Something good. I grew up in the late 80s and 90s. All I can envision are people desperate to go back. Longing for what it used to be. Many having nostalgia for a time before they were ever born. Every one just wants to go back… but we can’t. And so we try to make it all over again… because this isn’t the future we thought it was going to be. It isn’t. But maybe it can be… Maybe.
I mean the some cities are like this we do have flying cars we have flying motorcycles we have flying boards jetpacks full on flying jet boards flying motorcycles and the number of the things they're just really rare currently has they're not practical for many people
Because spacetime is an illusion. There has only ever been and never will be ever again now. There is no past, there is no future all there is, is right now. It is A gift, and that is why we call it the present. So open that gift. Share that present by being presence in someone else life.
i've always felt that wanted to live long enough to se the world turn into those cyberpunk fantasies of my dreams, and the ones i've seen on tv shows, cartoons, videogames and books. Each day of today i realise more and more that indeed, we already live in those fantasies, less fluorescent, less neon and less dramatic maybe... But we do. And i fucking love it. I know it's more dystopian everyday. But hell. I would lie if i say i dont like the present.
Have you seen ameca and the flying cars that will be arriving? We are in pre cyberpunk world its like Akira right now some places are truly transporting themselves to cyberpunk sooner and sooner in less then 5 years we'll have flying cars and insane machines like ameca and implants also the brain implants were Getting THIS Year in humans from neuralink and the Cybertruck lol we're already in cyberpunk!
The artwork is incredible. The reflections in the puddles in particular. I also like how the monorail track lights up before the train arrives. Bummer that the guy has to stand in the rain for 2 hours waiting for a train that never comes. Meanwhile the monorail runs every 12 seconds.
I just came back to this after years... and my mind went through the same trip as when I first heard it, that first song really is so perfect that it just sets the mood along with your background, makes me start imagining a midnight drive passing from the neon lights city to the mountain side where you can see the city from above and back... It just gives me such a feeling that fills me with determination and hope.
I've spent months trying to find "Beyond Memory" not knowing what it was called and got nowhere trying to find "Shadows in my Dreams." I love this. This entire collection is amazing, but thank you for featuring this song.
Again, thanks so much for this opportunity to share a place with these other awesome artists on your channel. Im remember listening non stop with my friends to your Liquid DnB mixes back then. So this channel has a special place in my heart.
I think my love for the cyberpunk genre stems from my dad choosing the live action ghost in the shell movie with scarlet Johansson for family movie night, then the following year I played both cyberpunk 2077 and ghostrunner now I can't get rid of my love for the cyberpunk genre
ever since I discovered Synthwave rabbit hole about 2 years now I have been in love.. beautiful sounds that capture modern and 80s retro beats. thanks Suicide Sheep always bring great artist to the floor with your channel.
because cyberpunk is life.ye i really love cyberpunk to the point that if given a choices between getting harem full of hotties or getting transmigrated into cyberpunk era i without doubt chose the latter
i'm not sure why, but synthwave and cyberpunk give me a much greater sense of comfort compared to 'classic' lo-fi, or genres that are *made* to give a sense of comfort
In my opinion, GTA V wasn't that far off from the synthwave mode, starting from the general aesthetic (although being sarcastic and dark, still uplifting and funny) and up to Tangerine Dreams as the score composer. And that Main Menu Music, you know. This is where it hits in the diaphragm.
This is fuc**** awesome. I love almost all of your playlists, but this one? It's a masterpiece. After just a few seconds, when I realized the first song was from road 96 ost, I pressed "like" without even listen the entire track. And now that I have listened it, I wish there will be a "super super like" button to express how much I love it. THANK YOU

I've been listening to synthwave for years now. This is the best fucking mixtape I've ever heard. Bar none, hands down. There isn't a non-banger on here.
This is literally dream come true. My favorite genre of music mixed by one of my favorite synthwave artists, uploaded by one of my favorite music channels
kalax, lucy in disguise, timecop1983, Zane alexander. wew. never expected to see them here, they're great artists that I wish for them to be recognized!
I don't think u understand how much these tunes help people they help me code in the middle of the night when I CANT sleep their relaxing and help me focus at the tasks at hands yeah Synthwave helps me focus, ever since my dad was diagnosed with allzimers i have trouble sleeping combination of u and other artists here really help me out
The music is fire, but the art is on a different level😍 The attention to details is astonishing and it gives me such a feeling of comfort, amazing work!
From one year in the future. I defintly agree. The longer I start, the more detail I soak in. Like the reflections on the signs animated perfectly, but then you notice that the animations get distorted by the puddles...etc.
As soon as 6. Fight against time, began to play, I KNEW IT WAS WAVESHAPER. The entire song is basically a remix of "Wisdom of Rage", the OST that they made for the bossbattle against THE LINE, a character that manipulates time (From the game "Furi").
Holy hell this is amazing. The mix of no-vocals songs and then the songs with vocals is great and makes this stand out above other synthwave mixes. Thanks a lot for this!
Had a bit of a break from RU-vid and get back on to find this. Followed sheep a while, followed a few other synthwave channels and cyberpunk artists…. Now 3 of my favourite things converge 🙏🏻 Respect
Listening to this, thinking "Wow, this is one of the most amazing synthwave playlists I've listened in a while". Coming back to check the page, "ah it's MrSuicideSheep, ok!"
The opening is just killer, it really sets the vibe that continues the whole way through. Excellent mix. Great job by everyone involved. Reminds me of my youth in the Cold War and playing 8/16-bit video games while listening to the war dialer trying to find someone out there. Cold synth music for a dark cyber world. Between current events and this mix I feel like a youth again.
