I pretty sure Yae was the very "1st" favourite character to many of us. Then it changed, HoV, HoR and so on. But Yae and this song still means a lot to me, like my first love in Honkai world.

I know I’m ten months late but I somehow just found this despite knowing Honkai for about two years, but this cover really makes me think about the despair Yae had to endure. She visits her sister’s grave. There, she prays for peace for Rin’s poor soul, then begins to sing this song as a grim reminder... Memories of that day strike her. Thunder rumbles on the horizon, rain dances about her... They tied her up, and cut her hamstrings, so that she couldn’t move; and her blood when it was splattered on the floor... it lay, helpless, as Rin’s already sick and dead body. Just like it did on that very day, that choking pain slashed at Yae’s heart, like the blade that took her away... Then the crowd who cheered when she died... Or was there cheering at all? In Yae’s memory, no - only those haunting words that still echo in her mind, even until now, her sister’s very last words: “I’m sorry I didn’t get to see the sakura trees with you... please, onee-chan... please, become a miko, and protect everyone!...” ...Become a miko and protect everyone... Yae couldn’t possibly fail at that. She had already failed to fulfil two promises: the first that she would be healed of her illness, and the second that they could see the sakura trees together - she couldn’t bear having to fail Rin again. It was the best she could do. Yae hoped that she would forgive her, for giving her that false hope all those countless years ago... In her memories, the rain continues tapping its solemn beat... She finally finishes her song, and, glancing one more time at the last reminder of Rin’s existence, she turns her head and walks back on her way to the shrine. She knew that she was sick - sick with despair and grief - and, just as her sister, she may never recover from it. But when she gazes as the sakura trees with Kallen, it’s almost as if Rin is also there, bewildered at the blooming flowers’ beauty... Edit: I know, this is pretty long 😅

I've never heard this Music before and yet it sounds so familiar and Nostalgic for some reason

I still come back to this from time to time. Hoping for Sakura to finally have a happy ending Still love this vid and always will.
