that's how i feel about "killin em softly", that hour got me through some really tough times in my life. i would watch it over and over, and it still made me laugh out loud.
In my 64 years, the only 3 comics who crack me up just as hard the umpteenth time I listen as they did the first time are Dave C., Norm McD., and Bill B. I always liked Carlin, Pryor, Kinison, S. Wright. and others, but these are the only 3 who are just as hilarious years later (when you're playing them for somebody who's sad, even though you know the material by heart). Wait......Gilbert Gottfreid is, too, now that I think about it (watch the Hugh Hefner 'Roast' [again] if you don't think so),
He may be funny but a good 75% is just made up to be funny. I’m not saying he’s in the wrong, lots of comedians do it because the job is to make people laugh not tell the truth but you can’t act like a comedian is truthful just because they don’t admit to lying.
He straight up lied about the 15 year old he wasn't practicing moves he beat the other child to death, he often misrepresents things in favor of his political stance, he stated support for an outright criminal just because he was black, he's a great comic but i wouldn't call him honest or good natured by any means

Dave. I'm Stephen. I am 36. I have watched your comedy since around 16. My brother I appreciate all the bits of humor and intelligence you've added to this world. By you I have laughed, cried,and Inspired. Most importantantly I have learned a great deal from you Sir. There's a friendship here and everywhere your voice has ever been spoken... No contracts.! He certainly took stand up as well as sketch comedy to a level that is higher than most can reach. Their are just a handful of comedians that have the ability to shock an audience with a offensive joke that has the person(s) that the joke aimed at laughing their ass off. He doesn't do it with the intent of hurting feelings, I think. His explanation of how he thinks & feels takes the edge off what would otherwise get him in trouble but,it doesn't always work. Some people are just born without a sense of humor & those people suck to be around.
😂sense of humor. The ability to make others feel comfortable with something said or acted by a physical release chemical. Which is why they say there “insanely funny “ Jim Carrey is another. Watching there bloopers of there sketches and movies just adds to the fact . They don’t care what others think and they are they’re happiest even when not perfect takes .. they just want to deliver and Be Happy 😆

Why would you hope someone you don't know and never met ever is okay? He could be 100% completely full of shit just so he could lure a few bleeding hearts in closer to scam.... Or he's sleeping in his car because he's an abusive creep that got dumped and now he's been stalking the girl all day waiting for the perfect time to rape and kill her so he's sleeping in his car! You typically only hear the loud complainers, so it seems like people can't take a joke, but I think the majority are all pretty understanding and reasonable at least in my experiences. I mean, if ya can't laugh at yourself, how can we enjoy life, we've all got something messed up or funny about us laughter is the best medicine.
He's still the GOAT and I don't mean that in a cliche way; he simply is the best to do it thus far and I'm happy to be alive with you all to witness it

I ve worked with some guys through the decades that were very similar to Dave in comedic style. Just guys that would blow you out of the saddle with their comedic wit, or just great timing. Dave is one of those types, just makes a living from it. Its true that you will meet people who are extremely funny in real life but could never do stand up for a living
I was taught to leave celebrities alone when out in public and I’ve seen a few, I just rendered a gentleman’s nod if they look at me but I treat them like any other person in public.

Oh man, I can't imagine how it would go if someone said something like the Michael Jackson joke in 2023. Dave knows how to set up some crazy funny commentary.
When I was 15 yrs old, I took bus rides about 22 miles away to go to a mall and play plinko, watch people play 8 ball billiards, go to a nearby amusement park, go roller skating and ride amusement park rides and I skipped school in grade 9 doing that everyday. LOL if you're not smart enough at 15 yrs old, I am so sure you flunked grade school.
At 15 if you were a girl it would have been riskier to do all that by yourself without having creeps and predators looking at you. You were safe because of your gender.
At 14 I was skate boarding miles at a time, recoverer from accidents in 5 minutes or less. Get chased by security- go eat the 99 cent combo dog and drink at 7-ll be back home by 8-8:30

Dave Chappelle is an equal opportunity offender. There's nothing off-limits about his comedy. All segments of our society, no matter their sexual identity, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, whatever -- NOTHING is off-base with Chappelle. He's an icon and an American treasure.
