Jamie Foxx is an Academy Award winning actor, singer, and comedian. He can currently be seen hosting "Beat Shazam" on Fox and in the movie "Baby Driver" in theaters now.
Jamie needs to be back on for a real JRE podcast! Not just an hour... he is soooo talented, seems like a very humble and down to earth guy who really appreciates the breaks and luck he's had.
This might be my all time favorite rogan interview. I've always like Jamie Foxx but was never really a "fan" so to speak, but this is one of the few times where seeing a celebrity's true personality actually made me like them way more. I'd chill with the dude regardless he seems awesome! Lol
Jamie Foxx really is respectful and thoughtful toward his peer and the world in general. He thinks before he speaks. This is a very cool guy. I have always liked his work. Now I see he is a really genuine and sincere person. Another great guest on Joe's show.
Damn got my headphones on & it took me 30mins to figure out that thumping noise is Jamie hitting the desk. 😂 I kept hitting pause to see if somebody was at my door!! Lmao 😜
Yeah, I remember a time when I thought Jamie Foxx was that untouchable dude and a guy that couldn’t wait to humiliate someone as soon as he got the chance..... now all I see is humble. All his time and different levels of Hollywood clearly turned into wisdom. And now, he’s seen EVERYTHING from EVERY ANGLE and has so much to offer the next 5 generations of comedians, actors and musicians. I Love listening to him.
Why does no one ever question Jamie's Timeline? Jay Z was established by 1996 with his first classic album in 1996 (Reasonable Doubt), he had his first retirement album (The Black Album) in 2003. He had 8 albums by 2003 many of which are regarded as classics (Reasonable Doubt, Vol 1 - In My Lifetime, Vol 2 - Hard Knock Life, Vol 3 - Life and Times of S. Carter, The Blueprint 1, The Blueprint 2, The Black Album). 1 Collab album and a Soudtrack (Streets Is Watching 1998) and a hit single for the soundtrack for the blockbuster movie Rush Hour (Can I Get A...) all before 2003. Tupac had a bunch of disstracks naming Jay Z including Hit 'em Up and Bomb First and Jay Z had subs for Pac in Reasonable Doubt and an unreleased disstrack for Tupac which was scrapped after Pac's untimely death. Biggie and Jay Z had formed the duo - The Commission - before his untimely death with only a few song recorded and released. This is the resume of a bonafide legend by 2003!! College Drop Out (The Album that Jamie is talking about with the song Slow Jamz) came out in 2004! Kanye was releasing his mixtapes in NY from 2002 and his biggest collab in 2003 was Keyshia Cole!! "Jay Z was unknown"... He was already a legend by 2003. Even if Kanye made Slow Jamz 5 years prior (1999), Jay Z would still have been a legend with 4 classic albums. soudtracks and notoriety by two of hip hops biggest legends. And by many regarded the King Of New York by 1999. This story is always so exaggerated and no one ever questions this.
Only an hour? No way!!!! Jamie Foxx has to be one of the most talented, interesting, and grounded individuals ever. I hope Joe can get him back soon, for a 3 or 4 hour show.
Foxx : "Learning Ray Charles persona is the most difficult acting job I've ever done. Wasn't sure I wanted to keep acting after that." Joe : "Have you considered stem cells?"
Adam Hastings yes i have to say i changed my mind about him and it was really crappy of me to form a preconception about this guy based on his outbursts or like what people said about him. Lesson learned. Jamie is an amazing actor and I like that he isn't an obnoxious materialist . Money is good but acting like a twat about it is annoying. U know what I mean?
Jamie Foxx is a damn national treasure. I remember watching him on his TV show, in living color etc and I was a huge fan. As a teen I heard his music and was a fan in a new way. He is one of the funniest people of our generation as well as being a top notch singer and actor. He is my favorite entertainer of this generation hands down
Noticed that too, joe mostly had his head down leaning forward like yes tell me more Jamie, but lets face it Jamie is cool as fuck so it would be hard to upstage him
A few people have done that. He only shuts up for long periods of time if the person he's talking to is someone he actually likes and wants to listen to, or is a good story teller. Like when they were discussing ancient egypt. Joe might have talked for 10 minutes total in that like 3 hour interview.
one second longer though and Joe gonna shake and foam at the mouth "YOU KNOW THAT'S THE THING ABOUT PEOPLE THERE'S ALWAYS PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKING TO GET AN EDGE ON YOU IN LIFE, JUST GROSS, YOU KNOW THEY PROBABLY HAD SOME FUCKED UP CHILDHOOD OR SOMETHIN AND THEY'RE OUT TO GET YOU AND THAT'S WHY I SMOKE WEED AND SELL KETTLE BELLS"
Trey Cooper so much respect for him. They need to have a podcast on jamies experience with all these major stars/scientists/comedians etc... that would be awesome for us fans.
@@jjjuhg Chris Tucker. Dave Chappelle doesnt seem like the type to wear white suits and also Chappelle is a character. Watch his interviews, he speaks quite different in his personal life. Chris Tucker on the other hand speaks like that and acts like that aswell. Just my two cents. PS: Chris Tucker loves white suits. Wears them all the time.
I swear Jamie Foxx has one of the most impressive resumes in the entertainment industry. He's been great a Comedian, Artist & Actor with Grammy's & Oscar's under his belt, dudes consistent & a Goat in his own right and ill never stop acknowledging it
Jamie Foxx is one of the most entertaining and interesting people I've ever seen EVER! Everything this guy says is a story, it's pretty amazing. Then he is unbelievably funny, he sings, he acts he is just a very talented human being. I'm a huge Fan Jamie love you brother 😎✌️
Damn..... so much respect for this dude. This is why this podcast is such a game changer. I never knew Jamie fox was half this cool. Thanks again rogan
James M I agree thought he was a cool dude but you can tell he's a pretty normal dude. I feel like most comedians are. Like they both said comedians get humbled by bad performances and bombing on stage.
Jamie Foxx is low key a underrated LEGEND. A living legend. This dude is a multi talented entertainer. And on top of all that, he just seems like the one of the humble dudes who doesn’t hate and throw shade..
I'm almost 45 yrs old and I'm gonna step out there and say Jamie Foxx just might be the most talented individual of my generation. His charisma is on 1000 at all times. We love ya dawg!!! 💯
People missing the point here regarding Jamie name dropping. Why do you think he is name dropping? Answer: the very same reason we would talk about it if we had met all these famous people! He's a fan of these people, and it just goes to show how balanced he is, that he can get excited about other people who work in the same business as him. I think he is cool as fuck :)
Todor Mitov more personal tho!!! I've heard those story's! Don't get me wrong still love Jaime But I would love to hear some Ray stories some more I living color stories some behind the scenes shit!
Danniel 1904 Another 3 hours of the same stories he tells on every show and interview he has done. I love Jamie foxx but he's like that one annoying dude who always tells the same stories but u just play along every time he tells them. Joe Rogan probably fake laughing pretending he's not heard these stories like 20 times :/
Jamie has mastered the art of expressional language. Can listen to him for hours. The best conversationalists however are those that are great at both the receptive and expressive components of language. Joe Rogan is a great example of that.
RascalKyng I don’t know, the way he says it and described it I could only see Chappell’s saying it, like a Chappell skit. And he said it funny, like he wasn’t offended by it
Joe’s podcast is so great at bringing out peoples personal side, I’ve never heard Jamie Foxx in an interview like this but I have a lot of respect for him he sounds like a really humble dude
The story about Puff's parties read to me like he basically needs to spend 1.5 million to throw a 2k person party while Jamie spends 400 bucks but his guest list includes some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Please get him on again, and for longer. He's one of my favorite comedians and i'm not American, but i think he deserves way more credit, i bang the table every time i watch his stand up shows...he's got a lot going for himself, very talented guy.
This is my favorite JRE episode. The comfortable environment that JRE creates allowed Jamie (and other guests) to be more uncensored and share their best stories. After this podcast Jamie went on to tell these stories on many mainstream media shows.
He admitted on one of the podcasts with duncan trussell that on the standard podcasts that are 3 hours long that he will go with a catheter bag so he can just piss freely without having to get up and interrupt the flow of the conversation.
Fox's emotional intelligence is impressive. Loved this interview. Seeing him in a different light. I'm old school and so I grew up with him as a funny guy. I like him even more now.
