Thank you. William C Chittick is my favourite and he addressed all the queries intelligently. Being well familiar with what is essential and what is non essential
like william doesn't like to use the word mysticism; i don't like to use only masculine or feminine pronouns for God; but if that is your preference; that is God's and yours personal unique-ish moment;
KUN FAYA KUN S IS TIED, TO PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.. THE 100TH NAMES ARE NOT TIED TO PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.. REAL GOD IS NOT ATTACHED TO TIME AND SPACE.. ISLAM COULD NOT SEE GOD EVERYWHERE, BECAUSE THE REAL DEEP REVEALATIONS ON THE 100TH NAME NOT THERE IN ISLAM.. THEY USING CREATIVITY OF MIND S INTELLECT, KUN FAYA KUN, THIS WON T SHOW YOU THAT GOD IS EVERYWHERE
Why is Chittick shrill or is it arrogance. Ibn Arabi has his own opinion and speculation, it does not mean it is real or true. There are many Hadith of the Sufi’s which have no reality. Chittick is very short with South Asian Muslims, suggestive of prejudice. The Prophet did not teach the concept of Wahdat al Wujuud. It was taught by Ibn Arabi, who essentially started a new religion akin in some ways to Hindu and Buddhist mystical practice. Sufism is a parallel system to Islam. Pantheism is clearly says what it is . All the hulul and being one with God, fanafillah are all Pantheist ideas. Stay with Islam, to prevent falling into error. Human beings are real and will continue to the hereafter. God has made his creation real, it is not a imaginary. He says in the Qur’an that He did not make His creation in sport. This is the Hindu idea of maya. Massignon’s diet was lettuce , suggestive of serious issues with hallucinations. Here Chittick dismisses the entire Islamic history.
