On a selfish note, those of us with EAP shouldn’t have to pay the same price as those with basic autopilot on a monthly subscription basis. We’ve already paid half of the FSD costs. Honestly, that’s a great deal for those who didn’t upgrade.
Right now tesla is like an incubator that has a lot of great places(where tesla is in the lead) to invest capital in. To the extent tesla stock price helps tesla raise funds which could accelerate developments, then any short term thing that raises revenue and earnings is a good thing. Extra income primarily means Tesla can avoid the risks of economic contraction by staying self funding.
