I'm willing to bet that most of these reddit neckbeards with 4090s and 13900ks in their title dont even have them and are just parroting what they see on linux tech tips or something.
Stock means whatever is default but with all "motherboard auto overclocking" turned off, unless it's INTEL/AMD themselves controlling it, not the motherboard.
