We’re still here, lol. Can’t get enough of the cheap, amazing food, the friendly people, hiking, pickleball etc. We’re at the tail end of the smoky season now which lasted through March and April - apparently one of the worst years but didn’t impact us too much except for the hiking. Good to see your faces, another great video.

Glad you made it through smoky season without too many problems! It's great that you're staying in Chiang Mai long-term, it's such a wonderful city. Maybe you'll still be there the next time we visit Chiang Mai lol.

We’re hoping to take a road trip soon and hit Chang Mai and Chang Rai. Old town looks amazing!

I hope you're able to take the road trip. We thought Chiang Mai had a very different vibe compared to Phuket (not in a good way or bad way, just different). We look forward to following your adventures on your channel!

What a great informative video. My wife and I are retiring in Chaing Mai in August. This video, especially the segment about the expat breakfast meetup will be very helpful.

Hi Ryan & Emily, we been to many places in Thailand but never to the northern region so looking forward to visit Chiang Mai one fine day. I heard there is a Thai man who sells fried chicken near the general hospital and he uses his bare hands for the entire cooking process. Thanks for your review and I always look forward to all your videos. Like your now famous opening poem on all your videos. 😊❤

My wife and I loved our time in Chaing Mai but very much unsatisfied with lack of public transport and sidewalk. Then we moved to Hua HIn and extremely happy about our decision. Songthaews has dedicated line with fixed rate and sidewalk everywhere (at least in Hua HIn city center). Also beautiful beach!

Great information, thanks! We hope to visit Hua Hin sometime but not on this trip. How long have you been in Hua Hin?

They used to have a good bus service for 20baht anywhere and brand new buses but they were never full?? They stopped a few years ago. Years ago they tried using little kodak buses and again lack of use saw them being stored on some land in Doi Saket.....But Grab is OK to get around or hire a motorcycle [but bring an inter drivers licence]?....

Oh how I miss Khao Soi! Nice seeing PJ and Chris in some of these shots. Are some of these newer shots or ones from when we saw you in December?

Yes, I can still taste Khao Soi in my mind whenever I think about it! Those clips are from the meetup we had in December, but it seems like it was just yesterday.

Hi to you both!! Looking for a post of Chiang Rai
@snailtravelers
@snailtravelers Год назад
Thanks! We visited Chiang Rai but only briefly (less than a week), so we don't have a video. But it was a fabulous city, a lot to see as a visitor and we think it would also be great for a long term stay. We have heard that more and more expats are preferring Chiang Rai over Chiang Mai because it's a bit cheaper and more authentic Thailand. Are you planning to go to Chiang Rai?

In general, yes. Not everyone of course, but tourism is a big industry in Chiang Mai and we had no problems communicating. Thanks for watching our video!
