Well, it worked out for the best... Bae's performance is a strong contender for best solo performance in the whole festival... And considering how amazing everyone's performance was, that really is saying something. I can't wait to see her perform Play Dice live, though. Hopefully in the EN concert in July.
Right! When I first heard she didn't do play dice I was a little sad, but the godish performance was immaculate, so Bae clearly knows what the best choices are for her!
For most other EN/ID gen 2, debuting in this concert with idol costume means you have a big reason to look forward for their 3D debut/showcase: You haven't seen them in their original costume (e.g WOOOGH FAUNA AND ANYA BARE FEET) This doesn't apply to Bae since she performed in deco*27 with her OG costume but thankfully you have one more reason now: to see her perform Play Dice in her OG costume. So yeah overall it's a great decision!
I was also expecting Play Dice, but what we got was honestly so good, and an extremely pleasant surprise. All of the girls truly outdone themselves, especially the newer members for their performances. Absolutely extremely proud of them all. Made staying up and watching more than worth it.
Honestly, I can respect that. She's dedicated enough to her craft, and proud enough of her song, that she doesn't want to perform it in 3D unless she can get everything just right. Based. (Or should that be Bae-sed?)
Honestly, going with Godish also let her shine with her self-made coreography too. Especially the more spicy parts. Also showed off more of her voice too.
She can't say it outright, but I would bet good money that the actual reason is "Council is going to get 3D showcases soon and I'll be doing Play Dice during that"
Play Dice was the obvious choice but Bae did hinted that she wasn't singing it when someone asked for a fan chat for it. Also when she said she understood why Mumei didn't choose A New Start but My Dearest.
True. The idol outfit is too cute for Play Dice Chaotic energy. After seeing Bae's original outfit in holo27, and Idol outfit at day 2 opening, I think it's safe to say that her original outfit and Play Dice are inseparable. The way she moved at God-ish, tho 🔥👀🔥 Bae's 3D reveal gonna be a blast

I watched and loved that you sang Goddish, it's one of my favourite Idol songs and I was so happy and surprised that you did, my God it's such a hard song to sing but you fucking nailed it. She's not wrong about it being less of an idol song. It's very fun, but very chaotic... and that's the point. But that also makes it terribly hard to choreograph and for the band to play. So... good choice I think.
I was fully focused on Bae until I heard the slow instrumental trap remix of high tide come in. That robbed all my attention not gonna lie. Gotta find that version
On the Hololive official channel, they have uploaded two 1 hour-ish lofi mixes of holo-original songs, the High Tide remix is in the 2nd one ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cBlrARl9tIQ.html ) ngl they're kinda nice, the BLUE CLAPPER in the 1st mix is also very popular, oh, also there is a Play Dice lofi version in the video too, all songs in it are timestamped

We got quite a few smexy dances on Day 2, Bae's being the most smexy of them all (she got on all fours at one point sheeeeesh), I think it was the correct choice lol
I think letting everyone see Play Dice without paywall during an eventual 3D showcase would be nice. That, or save it for the HoloEN concert. Depends on what can happen in a few month's time. Either would make for a special moment.

I think it's a smart choice. I keep thinking Kiara's performance of Do U had issues, mostly because the live band couldn't do the different style justice. Maybe this should have been the solution, even if it's for a different reason.
@@jayoliver3568 just to make you feel better buddy, since now we're rather free from "Covid-wall" we definitely will see more of them performing 3D lives on RU-vid just as how the JP members have always been doing. We will have proper Council 3D debuts, we will have their anniversary/birthdays special lives, and so on. The reason why they didn't do it much before WASN'T paywall, it was Covid-wall. 3D livestream might not be as grande as concerts but it is equally good, they're still performing as maximum as they could do. Just look forward to it, we all know it's not going to be for long. Well unless there's another Covid strike or something similar..
im pretty sure most ppl dont care which song is performed by their oshi. just hearing them sing and seeying them dance in 3d aswell, is more then enough.
Ngl, I kinda prefer last year's song set list. It made everyone shine on their own way, which is my idea for celebrating Hololive. Made every HoloJP member celebrated, HoloEN shine, and woke everybody who been sleeping on HoloID.
I've never attended a Hololive Concert before. Are the folks behind the scenes of the concert unable to change the idols outfits for them? I'm speaking out of ignorance here, but wouldn't they be able to program an idol outfit for Bae so she could change for her song? Idk, that's just me. If it's that important to her, she should be able to change so she can perform for her own song for the fans.
There's just one solo performance per member afaik, especially when you're 3d debuting. Bae chose _Kami-ppoi na_ as her solo performance. Edit: You gotta understand, Hololive has 36 JP members, 10 EN members and 6 ID members at the HoloFes. Gotta give them all their chance to shine. Afaik there are a few duo/group performances but idk if Bae got to do any besides singing Shiny Smily Story and Our Bright Parade.
I feel like they were procrastinating or might be there a reason behind it who knows but hearing a new song is good too and not just that bae did it professionally it was epic 🔥

They had both of her outfits on 3D, she performed in Holo*27 in her normal outfit as well. What she's talking about is that it's decided they'll all perform using their idol outfit, not because they don't have the normal one.
