On my last video where I uploaded my first 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝-𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣™ game, it received mixed to negative reviews, where my game was praised for the visual designs but was largely criticized for the "harsh" difficulty that was caused by poor game design. My game got in 7th place, and worse, the "enjoyment" criteria got the lowest score out of the 5, which I'm very unhappy to see that.
So, I decided to give it one more shot, and instead, I made an overhead-shooting game instead of a platformer. So, if this goes well, then halleluiah, ig. If not, then this may be the last time I'll ever join Gandi's Scratch Game Jam again.
In this game, you have to shoot enemies and collect chips so that you'll be able to purchase upgrades on the 2nd stage, then you'll be able to type in codes to reset the AI.
I added a new feature in this game. You can now shoot and aim at 8 directions, and you can also hold A to lock your aim while moving around. Oh, and guess what? You get to have the ability to chat with an AI bot. You read that right, AI is now possible on Scratch.
I also tried to reduce some difficulty and add some generic enemies so that things don't get too messy.
