The 15 Copa America argument does not stack up as much. As Copa americas are more frequent AND 50 years older than Euros. While England have won none💀, the argument would CRUMBLE against a nation like France or Germany or Spain, who have won several Euros

Lemme give yall a few facts about us uggys (totally just made that up, uruguayans is fine). 1) We have never lost a tournament on home soil. Our land is hella powerful. There have been 9 international tournaments played in Uruguay. 7 Copa Américas, the 1930 World Cup, and the 1980 World Champions' Gold Cup (nicknamed "Little World Cup") featuring all previous world cup champions except England who decided they were too big to go on such a petty competition. So the Netherlands stepped in on their place. Uruguay won all 9 trophys. 2) The 1924 and 1928 olympic games were won by Uruguay consecutively. Since they were organized by FIFA and disputed before the creation of the World Cup they are considered World Championships by FIFA, hence why Uruguay has 4 stars on the shield. But more importantly, these were disputed in Europe, far from home, against 22 and 17 teams respectively, and to me the 1928 one being more impressive, managing to beat Netherlands (the hosts), Germany, Italy and Argentina back to back. We also beat the 1924 hosts France 5-1. 3) Before the Bosman Law allowed European teams to drain South American teams of their best and not so best players (happened in 1995), there were only three teams who had won the Intercontinental Cup (today´s Club World Cup) three times. Milan, Peñarol and Nacional. Peñarol and Nacional are both uruguayan teams. Nacional was undefeated, winning 3 Libertadores and the three Intercontinental Cups right after, and Peñarol managed to beat nothing less than Real Madrid, that team with Di Stefano that won 5 European Cups almost back to back, 4-0 on aggregate. Those are some cool facts most people don´t know.

Because the only other good nations in the copa america are Brazil and Argentina, in the euros england has way more competition with teams like Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany (denmark maybe), Croatia and more.
