you're laying on you're back in the middle of a sprawling field, the soft yellow wheat grass extends as far as the eye can see. Someone you love is sitting with you, playing the guitar. you're both wearing white dresses which billow softly in the light breeze. Its the middle of the night but you don't feel cold even as raindrops gently fall onto your face. you're crying but you don't know why. you feel as though this moment has lasted forever and like its only just begun, and as you realize you don't know how long you've been here a looming sense of dread washes over you. "maybe... maybe just a little longer" you hear yourself say as you begin to fall back asleep.

I wrote a short story while listening to this song, here it is. It’s called, “Rain.” She opened the door with her delicate hands gently, peering outside her door to see little raindrops pouring from the above. She smiled and walzed outside into the lovely weather. As she stood in her fluffy, green grass, she looked up. With rain dripping down her face, she grinned. At peace. She then starting laughing and playing around in the muddy puddles the rain had formed. And once the rain ended, she frowned. But then was surprised by a magical rainbow in the sky above. Her eyes grew wide. The next day she sat inside her house, writing in her notebook next to a window. When she was fully focused on her writing, she heard a little *pitter patter* and the rain had come to visit her again. The rain heavily pounded on her window next to her and she was comforted by the lovely sounds of the best weather ever. Another time, she was deeply upset with herself and sobbed at the thought of sadness and her falling into a spiral of depression. But, the rain came again. Her eyes grew wide once again and she froze. She slowly grinned into a huge smile as tears rolled down her cheeks. She flew open her door and ran outside into the rain. Crying, she played in the rain. She thought to herself, “what a gift.” ❤

It's hard for me to explain, but this song reminds me of someone who's story I resonated with, I almost went down the same path. If only that person realized how loved they were by the people around them. I'm sorry friend, I wish you could hear this song. For the past couple days, I have been putting this on loop and falling asleep to it. I have fallen asleep and woken up so much happier than I have in a while. I think the feeling that this song stirs in me has been attracting good things around me... A boba tea bar somehow opened up in my incredibly small, close-minded town in the delta! I visited them today after a couple days after their opening, and I believe I hit it off with them. I think they might hire me! It just sounds like a dream to have that job. My argument with my mom was resolved and I was able to contact my therapist to schedule a new appointment to help with the aftermath :) I turn 17 in exactly a week (next Wednesday) and the door to so many more freedoms seems like is going to open up for me, as well! Thank you for helping me sleep even better to Liana Flores’s voice than I could before. The rain helps comfort me. Let us hope for more great happenings!

I have a character who’s song I like to imagine is Rises the Moon. They’re such a calm yet graceful character, precise with their actions yet always a worrier, afraid of the worst yet striving for the best. Always visibly calm and helping others before themselves, and this is just definitely making me think of them. The scene would be simplistic, the song merely some white noise in the background as they listen to the rain with a warm drink (or cold, depends on their mood) Nothing to do, just observing the blurry moon, only barely covered by the rain clouds

When I was in 5th grade I found this song. Being the obsessed little artist I was, I used my sub-par art style and a mildly sharpened pencil to illustrate each lyric. It looked terrible, but it took me hours and I was so proud of myself. It was a whole storyline with a girl who’s caretaker died and sang this song even after death. It was honestly kind of impressive how much work I put into this. Seeing as it was all in random loose notecards, I lost most of it. Tonight I was feeling rather nostalgic, so I decided to try to recreate it. News flash: I’ve repeated this two times and I’m still not done. Currently on “memories swim, and haunt you”. I think this will be a longer project seeing as it’s currently 11:30 pm, but I’m really glad I found such a peaceful video to inspire me. Thank you for reading this lol

this deserves more attention

I’ve been sick(vomiting) lately and I have a lot of trouble sleeping. I keep waking up at 3:30 am on the dot and after checking my socials this really helps this weird feeling in my stomach go away for a bit. I take melatonin but this sure does help if the melatonin doesn’t work!

This had me thinking about how people call people ugly and I thought that the soul is gifted with beauty and people ignore the beauty that their given and try to cheat beauty and neglect the soul's true beauty and they call the people that admire their soul and its gifts and wonders "ugly" but with the soul's beauty just like all good things it takes time some longer than others. So love your self your time will come for you will learn your souls true beauty

i’m sitting in my room, the sound of rain clattering on my window, pounding on the roof, the sound of thunder rumbling in the distance, along with some occasional lightning… gripping my warm cup of hot chocolate in my hands, wrapped in my cozy blanket, pillows surrounding me… the room is dark, but not the kind of dark that you can’t see anything; rather, it is the kind of darkness that is somehow comforting. i sit there and look out the window, watching the trees swaying with the wind as i think about the good memories from my childhood… and in that very moment i am at peace.

I needed this tonight. I've been going through some really shitty times with some family problems (and it's my dad's fault) with my mental health going down rapidly I had to go back to therapy. I find myself crying into my pillow more and more often now. I was really struggling during the school year, as a result my grades dropped by a huge amount. Does anyone else remember this in Coroline? Anyway here’s a little spin off story of Coroline, but a happier other world. Through the little door she went, on the other side a warm house, identical to her own but different. It reminded her of her life back in Colorado. Back when her family was happy, there was no yelling, no fighting, and she had her friends. Walking around the familiar hallways, Coroline eventually came across the other mother. “Welcome home dear”. Words which Coroline haven’t heard in a very long time. “Please go get your father for dinner, it’s chicken, your favorite!”. This mother knew, this mother didn’t forget. A dazed Coroline went to go get her other father, whom was playing the piano. She was greeted with a warm smile and a small performance, for once she wasn’t told to leave or get out. Her and the other father went back to the kitchen, where the table was set with food. The family sat down and ate, small giggles and chatter filled the room. One night, I was feeling anxious, disappointed in love, I put on something to relax, and then I remembered this song, when searching, this video option came up, and I thought: it could be perfect for I fell asleep, and it really was wonderful, I slept like an angel, but something else happened, I had a dream that I still haven't forgotten, since I was a child I hadn't had dreams like that, I was walking through a totally empty place, with a lot of fog, but it looked like a normal city, it was very calm, just like the melody in the video, and inside the dream, I heard someone singing this song, in a way that I I was chasing the beautiful voice, and when I arrived, I came across a person whose face I don't remember, but in the dream I had told her: please don't stop singing, you calm me down. Since then, I've been curious to this day, not only about why the song calmed me down so much, but also that dream, it gives me goosebumps about how significant that was for me, and I'd like to know who was singing, despite looking crazy.
