As always, love the videos from RVOA. With the HQ19 being so tall and possibly limiting clearance with trees on the trail, I was thinking of a telltale pole system that could be mounted on the front of the towing vehicle or maybe better as a portable sighting pole that the spotter could use to assess the clearance issue ahead. Not sure what you would do if there was not enough clearance other than have a long reach pruning tool on board!
Another incredible adventure. Iwonder why other dealers don't do this with their customers. I would like to know though, what the walls, floor and roof are made from in these trailers, and how thick. We'd like to get a trailer, but do not want anything with wood walls especially.
Love the videos. Cant wait for the day I get to put my order in for the HQ15 with ROA! Love the mountains but can I detour the highway with no shoulder!?
Quick question-The video reveals that there is significant trailer lean on those turns. Understanding these trailers have independent suspension, is there anything possible to make them "more stiff" on the highways until getting to the trailhead?
The independent suspension makes it so these trailers tow way better on the highway than any other solid axle I've ever towed. They just follow the road and absorb small dips and holes, independently for each wheel. Not sure why you want to make them more stiff?
The lean is not bad because it slowly will come back with the gas shocks. A solid axle with leaf springs tend to rock when you hit a bump or go side ways they have a very scary rocking motion.
Incredible. Driving a trailer on a dirt road. . . . . I don't think you need a black series to get this footage. I've taken my Wolf Pup JG17 way beyond these trails.
Did you have the option to match the lug pattern for HQ with the Tundra? I’m looking at the HQ17, with my Ram which is built out. I might have to switch the 12k winch for a 16k winch. Great mods on the HQ.
