And this is one of the small ones 🫢 the Fathers Day one was canceled due to rain 🌧️ it’s so big it takes half a day. But it’s also out in well a park but no trees for shade 🥵. The next huge one shuts down the road in the next “county” and is miles long 🥰
We have classic, vintage, and prestige car events here in the UK 🇬🇧 , but not on this scale and size . I had to smile when I saw the Morris Minor police car 🚓 as I remember them in the 1950s growing up as a kid. I will share this with my nephew, who's an avid car enthusiast and collector . This was one of the mid sized shows Colin, the big one called “Fathers Day in the Park” has nearly a thousand and it takes hours to go through. But this year sadly it was rained out 😂😂 yes rain. Gerald loves the show Heartbeat and every time we see this car he says oh look it’s the Heartbeat car 😂. I would love you to show your nephew it’s what car shows are all about admiring the cars and ooohhh and awwwiiing over them 👍.
My brother would love this, he is basically a boy racer and he is 49😂. He has owned more cars than the local dealership 😂. I do appreciate good things too, love the hot rods 💝👍👌 and the Citroen c2😂👌👍
It’s such a fun day and so many cars to see depending on what place they are as some guys only stay within their city area. But Gerald will drives miles to see a car shape 🤣🤣 kinda like me and a garden sale

I do love old cars when restored , the hotrods are cool but for classic it's got be the mercedes, and the muscle 🦾🦾its the dodge or the mustang had to watch this twice 😃😃 thanks for sharing take care
Gerald is in his element here and could walk around 5 times 🫣. Me I just am happy doing once and getting back to my garden 🪴. Hopefully today is the last day of 38c and it drops to a balmy high 20’s, I know the UK are fed up with rain 🌧️ we are fed up with heat 🥵. Have a great week and hope all is well 👍
Love a good car show. I used to run a club Ali and we used to do loads plus track days. It was mainly Ford RS models but love seeing the hot rods and superchargers 🚗💨 Thanks for sharing. Looks like a fab day 😎
There are cars shows here almost every weekend some small and others huge. It’s good when not too hot 🥵 because I don’t do heat 🤭. Gerald is what we loving call a gearhead 🥰
Omg that's a super selection of beautiful cars I just watched it with my 86 year old boss and he loves this sort of thing has three classic cars himself , don't see hot rods over here in the numbers you had there well not locally,
Oh how cool I’m so glad you both liked it, it’s Gerald’s passion and we really enjoy going to these shows. I’d post pictures of Gerald’s vehicle buts he’s very private about his stuff so I will just say he has less vehicles than I have lillies but not by much 😂😂😂
Happy belated Canada Day Ali and Gerald! Lots of nice cars there! I used to go Goodwood festivals and even as a kid my uncle was into motor racing and motor bike racing. I used to fix my old fiestas until this one which i have had since 2008. It's a 2005 one and still legal to drive in London without the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) charge of £12. per day! It was mainly aimed at 2006 and older cars but ours seems to be ok. Funnily enough i have been seeing a lot more 2005 fiestas on the road, when i do leave the house now! lol I think the emissions are 154 something (goldfish memory now). There used to be monthly meet ups near where we live but not been out to see them but there was always this one car that looked like "Tow Mate Tor" from cars! Goodwood was cool as you get to see the "wacky races" cars as well as F1 cars. Think i have an old photo on social media that i don't use anymore in a Ferrai. I admire their dedication to keeping them nice looking as well as finding the parts. I wonder when cars become classic now? Is it still 25 years? Still not jet hosed the car yet, nor the front driveway. The car looks like it has it's own window boxes! I stopped driving it as much after the job in central London. Used to drive it to the Netherlands often. Crazy how it takes the same time to drive to NW Wales, UK! My older sister lives in the South of Netherlands has a new big electric fancy car and drove to Germany, Switzerland, Italy and all over and back up. 4k km, not sure what that is in miles but a lot for her milestone birthday. Looks like she had a great holiday. Nice BnB's (Bed and Breakfast), private swimming pools and visiting some vineyards in Italy. Her hubby used to drive a caravan and then they had a big RV parked in Germany. We used to do a lot of camping as kids but hubby isn't interested in that. Do you or Gerald watch Curiosity Inc? Alex does hoarder houses, antiques and is very into cars. He is based in Edmonton. Apparently doing a tv show flipping houses or something? Not sure if it is going to be shown outside of Canada but sounds interesting. Was digging out the eaten ginger today in the front garden and i think managed to save some and wish i left them in the sandy soil window box and left them in the porch. Got scratched up cutting back this darn prickly bush to allow more sunlight. We are east front / west back garden at summer time. The birds don't even like the berries and i just want to remove it and our side of the housing association neighbours hedge. We used to take care of the ladies front and back garden when we moved in. She had lived there before the council sold it off in the 80's. We get so much rubbish now in our front garden. I proved the junk food wrappers, cigarette butts and other plastic is coming from the house when i put the old plastic wendy house roof against their hedge. I also have found out why the old residents here had planters along our empty fence line. We are on a rat run on out street and people use the street pavement tree as a roundabout. The new privately bought neighbours on the other side of us, think our driveway is shared. We have had a lot of damage on our side with the cherry tree and our driveway being damaged. Not sure in height but the neighbours hedge is one storey high. We don't have steps to our house. I feel bad for people on the end terrace who have no light at the front. Would love someone to dump a stack of pallets for me to make a fence on the rented neighbours side and to put some heavy pots on the fence side. We ran out of funds doing the front driveway when i was made redundant, i got sick and then my MIL passed away and we struggled in '22 with taxes. YT took a nose dive but i hoping we have some money spare to re do the front as i can build more beds with the slabs, including the fence line. Our main expense is the slabs sand, etc as we would do it ourselves. Anyway just pipe dreams as they say and lots of projects on the go! Anyway, spent hours adding the new autumn/ winter seeds and details to my spreadsheet. I still have a bird seed tub of half split dwarf green curled kale pods that i need to put in a brown money pocket envelopes. Our back garden is about 70ft x 26ft? but i think that includes the back space where the trees are and the real back fence. I cane email you some pictures. Far too many save seeds for our small growing area. I am just worried about sending you so much in an envelope that they might check it? Brexit rules have changed so much as i want to send my sister some homemade Rhubarb, Orange and Ginger jam. For YT we also need to do Tax forms for US and now for Ireland. Bit of a hassle as i no longer make any money since YT shorts come along and the game dev's don't support us for free promotion. I have been gardening for longer but quit FB, IG, etc, except for TwitterX, when i went back to work and leanrt about the online bills coming back on Mat Leave/ cervical treatment and MH issues. Anyway, i need to give my laptop, on the washing machine a dust spray and clean too as i think the keyboard isn't working property anymore. Too much minecraft with our child too! lol Take care Ali. @@AnyKeyLady sounds like you had a fun time with your uncle, since we moved to Canada when I was 8 we didn’t have any aunts or uncles here they all stayed in the UK. Wow I told Gerald about the ULEZ he was shocked but says it will come here one day and no one will have classic vehicles anymore 😢😢. Sounds like neighbours from hell and it’s such a shame. We are very lucky in our small urban area we have excellent neighbours (so far) but occasionally the one down the road plays music so loud everyone hears it. Yes slabs here cost a fortune and are very seldom on sale in marketplace. Don’t watch a lot of renovation shows on tv we are more Midsomer Murders 🤣. It was hard to say, which car was nicer. Beautiful in their own way. We have a competition between ourselves, as soon as we see a 2CV, we shout it out. You don't see them as much in the UK, moreso on the continent. Thanks for showing us around 👍🚘🚙🚗
It was a super fun day for sure and was actually so full they had to park cars on the old race track area 🤦♀️. Since Covid poor car guys have been itching to get out and show off 😂. So they are doing it full force now 👍👍
I was chuckling to myself because I could identify so many of those cases, even which are "kit cars". I'm surprised nobody brought out their Avanti or some of the Packards. I think I spotted a '47 Stude, but maybe I missed others. Austin, Jaguar, but I didn't see any European vehicles. Where was this held?
It’s at the old oval race track in south Langley. There are one or two Avantis we’ve seen at other shows but I don’t think we did at this one. I always have to remind Gerald to speak quietly as he critiques them sometimes a bit too honestly 🤪🤪
