We have been to this area twice and will be coming again. Just can’t get enough of the pretty alpine scenery in the Bernese Oberland. Usually we base ourselves in Wengen and Murren. The Birg Thrill Walk at Murren is amazing - beats the Grindelwald First Thrill walk hands down anytime. Do try do the Birg Thrill Walk the next time you visit Murren again. Wengen is a very pretty base where you can take in the incredible views of the Eiger, Monch and Junfrau peaks on the Panoramic Walk from (ascend from Wengen) Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg. Mid to late Sept is a good time so you can some snow on the alps. Hi Titans- We just completed our 2 week tour (Aug 20- Sep4)of Switzerland. Your videos were very helpful and we did this trail from Murren to Gimmelwald and was absolutely mesmerizing and easy on your legs. We also did Mt Rigi, Stoos, Kelwanap, Stanserhorn (all these free with STP). Also did Pilatus (not so impressive and wouldn't recommend for the price you pay), Titlis. All these places we covered with Stans city as our base. One bus ride we really enjoyed the most was from after completing Mt. Rigi took a cog to some place dont remember to Stoos (if i recall it was Bus 302) that was very Scenic. Then we moved to Thun as our base for 11 days and did day trips to Matterhorn, Grindelwald, Did the 4 hr trail walk to Eiger schloss (was a tough one) and was worth every pain endured. Visited the Aare gorge, Trummelbach falls both very unique, the Lauterbrunnen behind the staubach falls, Interlaken, Iseltwald village, of course the Murren-> gimmelwald walk, bot the special beer at the honesty shop, day trip to Zurich, geneva, and Bern, Interlaken etc. Also did the Geneva , Lucerne, I/laken to Brienz, & the Thun to I/Laken ferries. The Thun to I/Laken west ferry was THE BEST and no one should miss it. We did the Glacier Express too from Zermatt, but wasn't exciting at all after having seen many scenic spots on the trains and terminated at Chur instead of going all the way to St. Moritz. The train ride from Visp to Zermatt is very scenic and a must do. I want to thank you for a lot of info we gathered from your Videos, that made our plan successful. This Swiss trip was preceded by a one week trip to Vienna, Salzburg, and Hallstatt that we enjoyed very much. we were really lucky that we didnt have any rain through out except for a short drizzle in Austria. Now that we have done once, there will be another trip next year but this time will focus more on the ground and spending relaxing time taking it easy. hey, nice videos! Quick question - Do you think the Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Gimmelwald, Strechelberg,Trummelwach - can all be done in half a day - say 9am to 3pm? Interlaken will be our base. If not, tell me what we can do in this timeframe - just Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Gimmelwald ?
We did all these on one day say 10 am to 7 pm from interlaken . But we took a lot of breaks, hiked behind Staubbachfall in interlaken and Hiked from Mürren to Gimmelwald. You can start with Lauterbrunen - Mürren - Gimmelwald - Stechelberg. Check the time in Stechelberg and decide if you can go Trummelbachfall or not.

We have not spent any extra penny on this with Swiss travel pass, all the places (cable cars/trains) shown in this video are covered in STP.. Except for murren to schilthorn journey (which we didnot covered) you get 50% off with STP. Thanks
We have not visited there, but you will get 50% off on the cable car with stp and it's on the way to schilthorn. So basically till murren everything is free (cable car/train) with stp and above that it's 50% off.

It depends on your itinerary and places you want to visit.. I would suggest to prepare a excel sheet with regular price and prices with different passes and compare..
Actually we did Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Gimmelwald, trummelbach falls in a single day.. All this is doable in 1 full day.. You can check our videos of these places as well..

Well Switzerland is amazing in all seasons.. Considering longer day light in summers and nice warm weather and greenary all around I personally prefer summer..
