As a result of 'the Kaarija Effect', we're getting more experimental songs this year that are fusings genres together...but this is a really GOOD example of it! This is electro folk with elements of rap, combining the old with the new so that everyone will love it! And it's an anti-drugs song! This has BOTH televote AND jury appeal! They are TWO groups of bands! MY WINNER!
Not too sure about jury appeal, in eesti laul it was totally mixed but loads of low jury votes. It really doesn't matter to me, I'm so glad Estonia sent this, happiness, fun and good energy! 😃
This song was born because these 2 different bands like to hang out with each other and created this song in a very short amount of time and then decided to try it at Eesti laul.
Leto svet were pranksters, not musicians and were making fun of Eurovision. 5miinust&Puuluup are real musicians doing their fusion thing that actually, surprisingly works
@@madisspiegel okei fair 2/3 are musicians but within the concept of Kreisiraadio they weren't known of their musicality or were they now? Kreisiraadio's leto svet was a one time thing whereas 5miinust and puuluup are literally working as musicians
This uncle is anthropologist Marko Veisson, another one with old instrument from Hiiumaa island is Ramo Teder, he is also artist. They 2 create folk band PUULUUP. Other 4 are from Estonian popular hiphop/rap band 5MIINUST- Estoni Kohver, Päevakoer, Põhja-Korea ja Lancelot, they have all nicknames and dark glasses. Dance is folk dance from Vormsi iseland of Estonia, someone wrote in youtube it was danced before hunting (?).
I have been watching a lot of these reaction videos for for Estonias pick for Eurovision and as a native speaker it cracks me up every time when someone tries to pronounce the title 😂

The title translated according to the general vibes of the song " 'bout them drugs we know nothin' ", basically them being too poor to afford drugs and the cops not finding anything from their cottage. It is somewhat of an anti-drug song even in that way, especially a song against poor predjudice, that all poor people are addicts and so on. Also, the music video is cool. Soo...the long Estonian title, translated to English, reads (loosely): "We (really) Don't Know Anything about (these) Drugs" Edit: It's about not being a drug user when everyone else unjustly thinks that you are. A message I can definitely stand behind.
That's what everyone is telling me now, and yes, I did read the translated lyrics. I thought they were joking...as in they were denying that they were drugs even thought it was obvious they were.
The pronunciation of the title of the song was 95% accurate :D - the only thing that stood out different was "küll" - we pronounce the Ü-letter like German Ü or French "ue" in "Rue" or something - also I think Scottich use the Ü sound when doing diphthongs with "ou" as in "thousand" - to Estonian the latter one would sound like "thäüzand" if pronounced by a Scotsman
