Ok I don't know if you were joking in minute 12:05 but just in case: yes, they do have access to the same technology as we do. It's not like they're living *back* in our time line, they just express it differently than we do. But other than that it's the same. If someone from Ethiopia wanted to buy an iPhone 14 Pro Max they will be able to buy it, it's not like he could only buy the iPhone 6 just because 'they're back in time' LOL. I mean in Saudi Arabia for example they follow the Islamic calendar which sets them 'back in time' around 600 years as they count year 0 the Hijiri era (when Muhammad the prophet went from Mecca to Medina and established the first muslim community according to Wikipedia); and you can see places like Riyadh which use the latest technologies and people have access to them too.

A big shout out to Barbs and his team with the Geography Now series. They have pretty covered much of Africa with only three countries still outstanding as of now (Uganda 🇺🇬, Zambia 🇿🇲 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼). They cover all world countries alphabetically and Uganda 🇺🇬 will be next early in the new year.

A new day starts in dawn at 6:00 am when the sun comes out. A New Year comes after the rainy season where schools are closed. We begin the new year in something like springtime,you see wild flowers, sunny, kids start their new class in school....it really feels like a new beginning and it's a huge holiday

Correction on 13:14 Ethiopian and Eritrean issue started after second world war. When the UN security counsel decided to federate Eritrea with Ethiopia in 1947.

Starting the day on sun rise makes much more sense rather than mid night ... How is "MID" night 12:00 instead of 6:00 ... 6 is the mid of a 12 hour cycle of day/night not 12

The habesha migrated..Groups like the Omoro are more Indigenous to Ethiopia but we see is the Habesha being seen as the face of Ethiopia..much like the people that live in Egypt now but aren't the orignal inhabitants.
