@@Miyconstwow what a niche, very cool! I’d love your opinion. I am considering upgrading a x99 sabertooth that worked very well since I built it 2015ish. The past year it’s had driver update issues. Recently nearly died, after driver wipe, gpu running but not well. The system ran 5k monitor, (which I thought died) graphics tablet & did lots of rendering, good life for gtx 980. The cpu is 5820k, overall system used as a editing/graphics workstation. In a funny spot, new gpu considering A5000 or 4090 more expensive than entire x99 pc. & I’m not Pixar. Anyway, what gpu/cpu would you suggest? With this cpu the 1080 ti looks promising and it appears some bios wizardry can help newer gpu cards? It would be kinda cool to get fancy Xeon in it too. Thank you & stay safe!
Maan I really do love your videos. I'm always looking forward to the next one. You are THE X99 authority on youtube and deserve many many more subscribers!
Just enabled mine on machinist x99 RS9 works flawlessly. running a rx 6600 8gb GPU and fully overclocked using your tool -70/50mv xeon 2640 v3 and is stable
It is amazing to see how x99 keeps on ticking. Intel must really hate these developments. It is crazy to think that one can now use an Intel desktop graphics card with an 8 year old CPU. Rebar was the only thing preventing that. I can't imagine how it would perform though. I would love to see some stats on that. These videos are really top notch. You always exceed my expectations. Keep up the good work! I can see your channel growing into something great one day. Your vids are amongst the few I watch all the way through.
Just tested with an a750 and went for a stuttery mess to a locked +60 fps at least on halo infinite, haven't tested much yet but this is absolutely amazing, a couple of things just in case someone finds the same issues, I had to do a MBR to GPT conversion to enable UEFI on my windows installation but other than this worked flawlessly. My system: Huananzhi x99 f8 with latest bios, turbo boost unlocked and this driver 2678v3 16gb 2133 MT/s Intel a750
This worked with my MACHINIST RS9 & RTX A2000 6GB! Time to benchmark with BF2042. E5-2640 V3 Turbo Unlocked (-50mv), 32GB Ram. Thank you for always giving us great info for the X99 platform!
It working very well here, Xeon E5 2666 V3 Unlocked + X99-F8 + RX 6600M 8 GB + 64 GB DDR4 2133 MHz (quad channel) I've gained 5~10% FPS in Ghost Recon Wildlands, playing at 1440p Ultra settings at 60 FPS and the best off all, LAG SPIKES HAS STOPPED AT ALL! I had a lot of problems with Lag Spikes in many games and ReBAR solved it. BUT..... Nothing is perfect... I'm Hackintosh user (i work with video editing, Adobe, Davinci Resolve, etc...), i have two separate SSDs for each system (Asgard AN3 NVMe 512 GB each), and Windows 11 worked very fine, but, Hackintosh cannot initialize with Above 4G Decoding habilited and I need to disable whenever I'm going to use macOS. If u are Windows user and wanna improve your performance and stop lag spikes, i will recommend ReBAR for you!
Interesting findings, overall is safe to comment there is no consistent effort in all hw and sw platforms to achieve such feature. I also wonder what is the degree of maturity of each of these.
@Muesolito Macos only support up to 512mb of rebar from the Apple side, if you set the value of rebar to 2^8 Or Just 8, it Will boot with and without 4g enabled.
Hi I have Atermiter x79 mainboard and rx 6600xt gpu. And it has option to enable 4g decoding. I did and after reboot there was no display. I reset bios through cmos reset. But there was no display. I changed gpu everything ok exept my rx 6600xt. I tried to check my RX6600XT on othere working system it doesnt give display anymore. Please advice.
Yah! Thanks for the very useful information. I immediately incorporated this DXE driver into the BIOS of my X99-G7. (It used to work with the X99-8M-F mod BIOS provided by Mi899 Tool. My X99-G7 uses the C226 chipset. Thanks again !!!) This DXE driver seems to work very well. My machine has an RX580, so I don't expect a very high performance gain, but I did see a clearly frame rate increase in some games. I was also surprised to see a clearly performance boost in Unigine's Heaven/Valley graphics benchmark. With the price of graphics cards coming down, I am planning to replace mine with a better one. I think this trick will help me then as well.

Question from MIYCONST. I have a computer: with a HUANANZHI X99-TF-Q motherboard, 4 DDR 4 RAM modules, and an Intel Xeon E5 2696 V3 processor. The computer also included a graphics card MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming X 6Gb and a 512 Gb NVMe drive. I recently bought a new Asus Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti V2 Mini OC 8GB GDDR6 graphics card and I started having problems starting the computer. The board display shows the message "d4" and 8 beeps from the speaker on the board. Then the message "A6" is displayed and nothing happens and the monitor screen has not displayed an image since turning on the computer. Only after enabling the CSM function in the board's BIOS and in it "Video" to "Legacy" instead of "UEFI" did the graphics card start displaying an image and the computer starts properly but the PCI-Express Resizable BAR does not work. Can this problem be solved? Regards.

Hello Miyconst, I recently purchased the Qiyida E5-A99 motherboard and I'm using it with a 2680v4 without any issues. However, I would like to unlock the memory timings and activate SAM (I'll also set it up with UTB in case I decide to test it with a v3 CPU). I found the procedures to modify UTB and SAM on your channel and on the Russian website xeon-e5450. However, I couldn't find the procedure to unlock the memory timings (and I'm hesitant to use BIOS from other brands on this motherboard). Could you guide me on how to do this? (As mentioned, I'd like to perform the procedures based on the original dump of my motherboard, if possible).
How can i flash my bios if my motherboard is a GIGABYTE Z170N-WIFI ? I did all the steps but when i save the file i have a .rom file. My motherboard has a Z17NWIFI.20i file. If i try to add the ReBarDxe.ffs driver in the Z17NWIFI.20i file, it won't work since when i try to update it in the bios it says "invalid bios image". I tried saving it with the same name and it didn't work. It seems like my motherboard doesn't take files with .rom at the end ? Or do i need another program to be able to flash the bios ? Edit: The file can be edited and it does work to be saved, i just can't flash the bios with the saved file that contains the ReBardDxe.ffs , it tells me "invalid bios image" when i click on it.
Very interesting and as usual...a clear, concise, and professional delivery by Miyconst! Not sure I am ready to do this one...mostly because I have the GTX 1080Ti and it likely will not be a significant benefit for my particular use-case. Secondly, not sure I have settled on the optimal voltage offset / optimal (Mi899 implemented) BIOS with E5-2696v3 + X99TF (v1). Currently running the TU PEI -50/50 BIOS with stability. Might go lower...not sure yet. Also installed THROTTLESTOP (v.8.7) and am playing with this at the moment, setting mult limit to 38x and observing max number of cores getting to this max multiplier (14~15). So far, this program looks to be delivering some good results. Temps are SAT too.
Hello, that rebar mod works in an x79 platform with the motherboard machinist x79 v2.09 (the only x79 in your program) and can drive an Intel arc a770 to score 12500-13100 in 3dmark, with a xeon 2650 v2

Hey Miyconst, I hope you can help me understand what's going on with my 2666v3 please. I bought an x99 kit from Ali with a k9 and the 2666v3, which came from the store with turbo boost unlocked. In both HWMonitor and AIDA64, the power consumption is shown only "package" and never exceeds 16W at full stress. My hypothesis is that the sensors are misconfigured and that 16W that I see as a "package", is actually the consumption of one of the 10 physical cores, totaling 160W. And the VID Max during the stress test is 0.990V, but in iddle it reaches 1.059V. What do you think? Thank you for your excellent work!
The power consumption sensor is simply broken and there is no logic behind this value. If you want to know the actual power consumption - use an external wattmeter.
I had the same issue and HWMonitor will show incorrect info, just a few watts for cpu usage but using HWinfo showed the correct values and wattage. I tested via an external power meter and compared it to hwinfo information. Also compared to TDP levels min and max
