🇬🇧 Zac Brown Band - Chicken Fried (Reaction) | SO COOL!!! 🇬🇧 

This is one example of the southern Appalachian mountain hillbillies (NC, SC, GA) that spread through the southeast over the past hundred years. The music is cobbled together from Irish-English to country twang to blue grass to jazz or reggae to blues to grandpa blowing the jug in the background, that could have been played together on the family front porch. And their priorities are what they say, God, Family, Country and enjoying life while we can. I’m not being insulting, I am one of ‘em, and it makes me smile when someone puts that southern hospitality into a song. He is a southern Georgia boy where the pecans are grown so the way he pronounces it, is the correct way for a southerner (peaches too, lol). PeeCan Pie.

This is probably one of the most loved songs by Southerners!

Just a point about the title of the song, it isn't necessarily about fried chicken. I've always taken this song to be singing about Chicken Fried Steak.

Greetings from Michigan USA. I’m know I’m SUPER late discovering your channel but I really like your reactions. You don’t pause too much, although I know people do. You pay attention to everything and I’ve been playing catch up on the country rabbit hole that you’ve gone down and there’s so many great older country songs in addition to new ones. I could only find one Sugarland song, which surprised me. “Sh Happens” is a great song and the video is funny. Zac Brown has an amazing voice. Nice job!

It’s a great song…especially on Fridays. Very popular with veterans and around Veterans/Memorial/Remembrance Days and such also. It’s a fun song with meaning.

You should also check out their song “Dear Annie”. I’m not 100% sure on the back story to it, but was once told that they secretly wrote the song for a guy in the band and then performed it at his wedding. This may be inaccurate but I like to think it’s true. The video is of the wedding as well. Touching gesture if true.
