We learn this toughness of hitting the person in front of your as hard as you can on every play beginning in youth football--- 7-8 years old. We also learn to get back up immediately unless you are really injured.

But if you are concussed. You might still get back up and not be okay. I have had a few concussions myself and was talking and I thought I was making sense. But it turned out that what I thought I was saying. Wasn't actually what I was saying at all.

If you have two or more turnovers on the same play whichever team ends up with the ball gets it 1st & 10 (1st and Goal if applicable) regardless of the down & distance at the start of the play. The QB gets additional protection when he's in the pocket in that you cannot hit him in the head the knees, or below. When a receiver is defenseless it's illegal to hit him in the head or neck. It's also illegal to use the crown (top) of the helmet to initiate contact. Officials may be quicker to call a penalty if it's a QB on the receiving end of the foul. 4:47 was a foul, defensive pass interference, possibly targeting as well.

Something kind of funny about college football is the rivalry that carries over when they get drafted into the NFL. Once in awhile you'll see a scuffle between players that is left over from college. Kyler Murray even gave a horns down sign after an interview, lots of things like that, its funny 😊. Love your channel! Much love from California ❤

You're absolutely right about the padding. I've always said that if you want to decrease brain injuries, the helmets and shoulder pads need to come off.

No, Kabir, if he hits him before he touches the ball it's called pass interference and it is a personal foul. In college this is an automatic first down and up to fifteen yards from the previous spot. In the NFL you get the ball at the spot of the foul, even if it is further than 15 yards from the previous spot. On the play you asked about, the DB is trying to time his hit so he makes contact just as the receiver touches the ball. That one was very close.
