Undoubtedly his vocal control his not from this world. Hamayoun Shajarian got really celebrated by the crowd and I'm happy that they appreciate his talent. It is hard work to reach such a master class level. First of all I noticed that the guy to his right is a icon on the instrument that I don't even know. It was pleasure to watch this masterpiece.

The name of instrument is *Kamancheh* . And one of the greatest Kamancheh player is *Kayhan Kalhor* , he's a legend (he won a lot of awards like Grammy and ...). And ... *Homayoun Shajarian* is a real legend just like his father (Mohammad-Reza Shajarian).

between a full 3 octaves, he can do anything with his voice., Anything that an instrument can play. you find any complex phrase with any instrument and give it to him, he plays that part with his voice better than that instrument. Also, he can do many things that no instrument or singer can ever do. he sings the lyrics like the poet himself would sing them. yeah he is o true living legend among us.

It's called "Kamanche." Interesting side note: Iranian music has a special rubato when it comes to playing 6/8 music; it's like jazz swing.
