Instead of Suits when you are ready to relax, how about set s goal of 30 minutes of a language learning source first with the reward being able to watch your programme? There are many out there and many of them offer a placement exam first so you won’t be starting from scratch. Dependent on what you want to achieve in Italian, I would recommend something like Memrise or Rosetta Stone. Both allow you to start where you need to be and both have local language speakers so you get correct pronouncistion etc. I’ve used Memrise for Italian and find it easy to go through a lot in a short period of time but you can decide which elements of it benefit you most rather than just having to do straight lessons or you can do lessons. The choice is yours. It’s not super expensive and you can start from different levels, from Italian Level 1 to Advanced Italian. Rosetta Stone is a lot more expensive but is the industry leader in language courses for professional development. My son uses it for Japanese. Perhaps another one would suite you better. The point is, if you can’t take the language learning courses right now, you could set s specific amount of time you must dedicate to it on your own each day and set the reward of them watching your programme afterwards. Just a suggestion.

thank you for your well-thought out comment Rose! i spend at least 30 mins a day doing Italian work regardless but it's a good idea, although i can't really type or do anything with my hands whilst i'm eating! i am watching Suits in Italian though so it's still fairly productive hehe. also since i'm in Italy i probably won't invest in Rosetta Stone right now!

@aena well its difficult for me to answer that for you. While its free to apply, idk how much the international fees are, if i applied to italian uni I would have been applied as a citizen bc i have dual citizenship, that would certainly lessen the cost i would have to play. As for canadian, ya it can be expensive, i did apply for a bachelor's degree at Canadian unis, but at the end of the day its just whether you think its worth it

Hi, This is my first time here. I'm living in Italy almost 3 years now. I studied in international school here but my class got cancel due to the pandemic. My classmates went to their mother countries moreover changed their school. So my class was removed because of lack of students. Currently, I'm doing Cambridge exams. Is there any other course or something that I can do? Please tell me if you have any idea or advice for me. I would love to hear.

What do you think about the job situation in Italy? Many students complain that finding a job after graduation is really difficult
@gabry94ita42
@gabry94ita42 3 года назад
Look, i'm an archaeology student in Sapienza, about the Jobs the problem Is not the low presence of culture or Jobs based about human studies, but how all of them are considered in comparison with other faculties. The situation Is not so good in Italy but not terrible, there are job offers but obviously we Will not be paid like an engineer or a medic (2000 Euros like) but with less Money (1400 Is the medium)

@@gabry94ita42hello, is finding a job in italy as a doctor ok in any region? Is there a demand?
@gabry94ita42
@gabry94ita42 Год назад
@@autumn399 hi there! Yeah, usually with a medicine and surgery degree there are jobs avaiable, but depends on your specialization. If you ĝraduated in general medicine you could work as a "medico di base" in italy, so as a doctor that generally prescribes symthoms and suggest other doctor more specialized in the indicated field as well. Instead, if you specialized also in a field such as surgery, logopedy or else you can find a job as a doctor with this knowledge that usually os learned in the italian "scuole di specializzazione" or "specialization schools" that are based on a 5 year structure plan added to the normal medicine and surgery degree, long 6 years

@autumn399 Год назад
@@gabry94ita42 thank you. May I know, is archeology interesting? Will u work in italy as an archeologist? Are there jobs available?
@gabry94ita42
@gabry94ita42 Год назад
@@autumn399 this january i graduated in the barchelor of archaeological sciences in Sapienza, now I have to finish the master degree. About the work as an archaeologist yeah, usually we work in italy as excavations technians, the main job avaiable for archaeologists. We work with geologists, architects and engineers in exacavation to check area excavated, take measurement and evaluate if there are archaeological remains in the excavated area. But this is not like the work of an archaeologists. Mainly, if you want to work as an archarologists totally you should remain in universities as a phd and post-doc researcher that is paid to partecipate into true archaeolgical excavations. About the payments for excavations technicians, in the last years were really good and usually the offer is low compared to the demand, but it depends with who you will work. In fact there are cooperatives or archaeological enterprises in italy that could pay very well as there could be cooperatives that pay not so much compared to the work. Also usually archaeologists that work as excavations technicians have a VAT identification number (in italian "partita IVA") that is used a lot by archaeologists because we work as indipendent workers for cooperatives, and with this usually part of the earnings is submitted to taxation. A rotally positive part about this is that this work is really exciting, and honestly, working as an excavation technician is really easy because we jave just to take measurements and took a photo and description or excavated areas, instead archaoelogical excavations are more complex because we ourselves have to work with the environment and the ground. But this is only my personal opinion. Studying archaeology in italy doesnt require the latin or greek as mandatory languages (in italy most of the high schools have latin teachings and i NEVER studied latin in high school) but is recommendable, at least there is a single latin exam that usually everyone passes and is not really hard, but yeah, usually that could be an obstacle that can be overpassed after some time from the beginning of the study. But is just one. Another things is that in italy, archaeology focuses more on classical and medieval period than prehistory or oriental civilizations, but there are degrees in italy of archaeology linked to eastern archaeology (Pisa, Rome, Naples, Venice...) or prehistory (sapienza mostly...) My suggestion is that if you like this subject yeah, you can study that, but try to create a study plan without random exams, but only exams linked to the field you like, and dont worry, usually in the first-second year of barchelor you discover what you like mostly. Or if you want you can took another degree and archaeology as an extra degree
