I am currently in Colorado with my best friend for a girls trip and today she is canyoning (something i’m not physically able to do) and while she is doing that I am exploring a small town called Ouray in my powerchair. You have been a huge inspiration to me for solo travel! I no longer feel awkward sitting quietly and reading my kindle or iPad in public while alone. I am able to see and experience so much, and I just wanted to let you know that you make me feel more brave! 🌸
'this puppy is the owner of a bookstore i love' was my favourite part! I also want to find a local bookstore that is owned by a puppy or cat! 😄 It's really great to catch up on your recent videos this week! I absolutely adore the atmosphere you manage to create in all of your vlogs!
Iceland is currently expecting a volcanic outbreak any moment. So if you're lucky there will be an active volcano for you to see when you come to Iceland!
Aaaaand it happened! But it isnt the exploding type of volcano (like Eyjafjallajökull was), so they're saying we shouldnt expect it to affect travelling conditions or such. We've been having these types of "nice, tourist volcanos" every year now for three years in a row. Maybe because of global warming? Who knows!
i so appreciate getting to peek into people's regular lives! because that way i feel that i can do these things too - not just living vicariously through others.☺ thank YOU as always, Cari!
as a film animator, we generally do contract work, jumping from studio to studio for different projects, depending where in the world we are. a couple of my friends worked on spider-man! it's crazy, but basically all the movies you see are by all the same artists, moving around, it's just so awesome that the studio actually LET the artists make some interesting work for once! we don't generally get to make those decisions, so it's SO awesome when a studio can be brave and try something new, it makes us so happy, especially when people like it! 😄
Tucking into my favorite Saturday ritual. Also, I noticed that your phone is in Korean - way to go! I remember when my brother switched his phone’s language and how much it helped his learning. I’m a language teacher so I love to see these little touches of authentic learning 🥰
If you need more of an indoor video idea, I would LOVE to hear how you planned your parents visit to Korea. My mom and I are visiting next year and honestly everything looks so amazing I don’t know where to start 😂 There are so many good cafes and museums and historic sites to choose from and plus we should be there in cherry blossom season which is a whole other can of worms 😅 Also so excited for your Iceland vlogs ❤️ It’s one of my favorite places I have visited and I can’t wait to be transported back!
For anyone in Korea now, take it easy and don't overdo it on the plans! I'm typing out of Pyeongtaek 평택 and it is scorching this past week. Keep a boatload of suncream, even more water and a damn parasol if you don't have one. Stay safe!
Love the "ordinary days" vlog :) Somehow watching the daily life and routine is really calming yet interesting. I personally almost never plan my vlogs - being spontaneous is fun. Loved this one and definitely going to try making more homemade meals, maybe some Korean too❤
I found your book channel last year and randomly got your videos on here recommended. And now I'm studying Korean and can't stop thinking about visiting Seoul one day 😭 your videos are so relaxing ❤
This past friday i booked a flight to Seoul for march and i just cried some happy tears watching your vlog. I've been watching your videos for a year, i think, always hoping that i'll be able to be there someday. Thank u for sharing bits of your life with us. Hope u are feeling good 💜
Hi Cari .... We love everything you show through your lens....never get worried about content any day is a great day....where you smile & share...also Care 😍💜
You've got a new fan, my husband watches with me now lol Yay for Sunday morning rituals spent together 🙌🏼 So many puppies and cats in this one 😻 I'm looking forward to watching the new spider man now too, thanks!
Love that when I open my eyes in the morning on sunday, I can watch your vlog 🥺🤍 Thank you so much for your adorable video ! Hope you have another great week ✨ Love you, from Busan 🌊🇰🇷
Me and my 6mo baby watchin your videos chillin taking a much needed break since I too am a work aholic stay at home mama who never sleeps or stops lmao my 3yo and husband are sleeping sick. These videos are the best ♡ they help me wind down 😊
honestly, cari, you can make tea and look at the camera while sipping it and that'd be a top tier content for me fr fr on god no cap, so hope you don't stress yourself and take it slow
Hi Cari. We've been watching your vlogs and we're finally back in korea. We're going to the cafes that you recommended... first stop Dotori Garden and we luv it! Thanks for the recommendations and content!😊🩷
It’s not Sunday without a Cari vlog!! 🤍 Thank you for making these videos Cari. After you told us in the previous video that your Flight Anxiety content wasn’t doing well, I rewatched it a bunch of times and didn’t skip ads. We appreciate all the hard work you put in and hopefully this small gesture would help with your stats 🫶🏻
I live in London and it's so expensive to live here! I'm excited to visit Seoul soon, the food and coffee looks so good for the prices!! Very good compared to London. It really depends where you're from and how affordable things are with your currencies etc
it is always nice to catch up with your videos!! Was eating throughout the video and felt like I am eating with a friend, especially during the jjigae part haha
I'm not gonna do too much, it's just gonna be a chill NORMAL week, she said, and still proceeds to do in the first day what I do in most weeks 😆 excited for more neighborhoods, but I also love these everyday bits and pieces, especially when cooking is involved! speaking of, I'm shocked at your kimchi prices. it's not that far from mine across the world so omg
Hi, Icelander here. I hope you will enjoy Iceland, btw it's very windy here and I recommend to bring gloves, a scarf and a beanie just in case 😊💕. Love your videos 😘.
haha, will be in Korea in August, and dear god, I'm gonna melt 😭 but honestly, I guess I need to rethink my budget, I need my coffee, and I want to eat my way around in Seoul... thank you for your videos, I take a lot of inspiration 🤍
So as far as I can see except for the ungodly apple price, groceries and cafe prices are pretty similar to what they are in my tiny little Norwegian western coast home town. Even the gochujang tub is only marginally more affordable over there, which makes me appreciate my Asian food shop even more for not marking it up more than strictly necessary 🥰🥲
It's been getting crazy hot here for real! Luckily I'm on the East Coast in Pohang and this whole week has been so cloudy. Yesterday felt like a fall day somehow haha.
the person at 5:42 , haha so random. cari, i love love watching your videos, its so wholesome and always calms my day .always keep on creating .loads of love
Hi Cari!! What do you apply on your face? It’s in your thumbnail. I’ve always wondered and wanted to ask so I can try it for myself. Thank you so much❤
Love it 😊 so much delicious food 😋 and what a nice lovely week you had! Here in Vienna we hit the 35° and it's absolutely horror for me 😅 but I have so much time for reading now! Happy next week 😊
Hi Cari!!! Loved what you showed us, i'm getting more and more into your videos and also curious in wich camera you use? Can you share with us? Lotsssss of love and keep making this kind of content💓
I love the tennis, we don't have a place like that. You and Kurt I hope will get a pet for yourselves one day soon. You would be such good pet owners. I would love to walk in that forest park one day, it's lovely.
Buses in Korea seem to be inexpensive compared to where I live in Canada, a bus ride here costs $3.25 with a 2hr transfer (I pay $6.50 per day) but there are other city buses here that cost more money. City buses are the only type of public transportation where I live. How do bus cards work in Korea? Here they cost $105 per month for an adult.
There is actually no prepaid cards in korea so you cant buy like a monthly pass or weekly pass. Its just pay as you go and every ride costs the same (with a minor change depending on how far you go) and there are discounts for students and seniors!
@@caricakes That seems more reasonable compared to Canada or America. The bus system in my city is weird, all the buses don't start and end at the same time, some buses don't run on Sundays/holidays, every bus has a different arrival schedule that can range from every 10min, 20mins, 30mins or an hour and at most bus stops you have to text a number to find out when the bus is coming and if you're lucky a bus stop might have a paper schedule which isn't always correct.
What is this!?? A video of regular Cari life? Oh the cheekiness! I know you cook a lot, and have a black belt in pastries, but do you actually make pastries yourself? You need your own cooking/baking channel. It needs to have at least one or two dogs on set, because you know... dogs. I look forward to seeing what the future will bring. Thank you, always!
This is so random BUT at 4:28 there’s a shot of a store that sells corn and there was just a video released of Jihyo from Twice buying corn from that exact same store in ‘I live alone’ 🤣 idk how I recognized that but I just watched that video lmao
I work at a grocery store in the states and I lost it when I saw the price of produce. Like the yellow kiwis for $11. I thought $6 at my work was expensive and I always forget that South Korea is basically an island nation because of North Korea.
5,5 years living in Korea and still going, it’s a pure nightmare to be a plant 🌱 eater in Korea. I will probably visit Seoul during the super moon vacation, this video help me to see what I should be expecting
