Almost all the sentences you guys made using "...한테서" I feel like can just be replaced with "...한테" in conversational Korean and it actually sounds more natural. I think most people just use "...한테". (Plus, not just conversation-correct but also grammatical correct I believe?) So I tried to think of the times when I do use "...한테서" AND it sounds natural... I think the times I would use "...한테서" would be like if someone asked me, "이거 어디서 가져왔어? (Where did you bring/(get) this from?)" and I would answer, "올리한테서." because answering to THAT question with "올리한테." is weird. Additionally, instead of taking the safe bet of using "...한테" = to and using "...한테서" = from, I think it's safer to just use "...한테" for both. But in all honesty, a little disclaimer, I'm not a Korean Language major or anything. I'm just a Korean who spoke English his entire life and only learned Korean through the ear the past few years without any proper grammar training so I might be completely wrong.

Okay, so I've gotten really behind on Jolly thanks to university starting up again. And I sort of just skipped to this one rather than watching in order like I usually do, and oh my goodness??? Ollie's Korean is improving so much??? Like, I was shook when he whipped out that 그렿지만, and he just seems to be so much more comfortable with the language in general from those first few lessons. I can't wait to see where he's at a year from now!
