Hi folks, NatNomad here. An ex-Buddhist monk from Laos with a big dream of seeing the world. Throughout my time for over 10 years being a monk I kept asking myself this one question "What life is like out there beyond the monastery?" And because of this question alone made me take a big step in 2014 when I finally say goodbye to my wonderful monastic life.
And now I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. Though I am not quite sure if I can say that I'm living my dream but you know what I'm loving my new adventure.
Please make sure to stick with me so we can explore new exotic places together.
Let the adventures begin!
Thanks so much for your support.

I salute you for riding all through this heat, Nat! Totally not easy! All for adventure and to showcase these wonderful places in Laos that are totally under the radar! Keep safe and all the best bro! The beef soup looks so appetizing! 🍲

Thanks, Paul. The ride was beautiful, but like you said, it is very humid and hot. Rainy season would be a perfect time for this adventure

Happy New Year Buddhist Greetings. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu for you. The LAOS and MYANMAR SHANS have so much in common. Tachileik in Myanmar is a border town meeting both LAOS and THAILAND. What a beautiful country thank you

Happy Buddhist New Year to you, too. All the best😊 I was thinking of crossing to Myanmar in Tachileik last time, but it was a bit complicated. Next time I'll do it.

I hope you come visit Laos someday. I've just had two friends come visit for the New Year celebration from Yangon, one from the Shan state. He speaks perfectly Thai

hey Nat isn't the temperature +35 there, why are you in the jacket? :D
@natnomad
@natnomad 3 месяца назад
Haha actually is 42 degree Celsius. It is better to wear the jacket because it is way too hot to expose to the sun. But then it is very humid with the jacket. They is way in between lol

How are Chinese able to buy properties in Laos? As foreigners we’re not allowed to own anything in Laos

In most of the cases we saw, for small businesses such as hotels and guesthouses, restaurants, stalls, and clothing stores , they either have business visa that allow them to open up their business. Some they married the locals and used their Lao partner's name. For the bigger investment like factories and others is more like long terms leasing up to 90 years.
